Arum is right, Ortiz isnt ready for either Pac or Mayweather but its nice to see a young, strong and motivated fighter been given a chance at the so call big names.

I find it interesting that they would put Vic-the wbc ww champ-in there with one of the 2 best boxers on the planet, but they wont dare put Ginger-the wbc JMW champ-in there with a real threat....oh well, at least we got some live matches to look forward too. The 1st half of the boxing year really didnt have a lot of great fights, this 2nd half is mos def something to look forward too

Arum less than a week ago: "I don't believe Floyd will fight Ortiz because he's a southpaw..."

Arum today: "No way Victor Ortiz is Ready For Mayweather!"

          Which is it, Bob?

arum just hates the fact that "love him or hate him" amyweather always does better numbers than pacquiao.

"Most people don't know **** about boxing" Roger Mayweather

For once I think I agree with Arum. He's right Ortiz is Nowhere near ready for Floyd, allthough I believe Arum is a little bit pissed because Golden Boy has a match with Floyd. If any of you really follow the history of young prospects who fight too many times out of their league, what happens is they never really get a chance to reach their potential because they get battered Physically & Mentally and no longer want it! i.e. My Man" El Feros" Ferocious Fernando Vargas!! Too Much too Soon!!!!!

                arum makes a valid point.

ortiz ain't ready for wifebeater and he isn't get paid well enough for it. GBP just keeps feeding wifebeater opponents.... wifebeater is gonna beat all their fighters and leave GBP with nothing.

Sounds like a plan to me. Let Ortiz lose to Floyd. You got that one figured out. Another BS match, probably fixed too. Everybody praising Floyd for being a good businessman, when actually they meant that they praise him for being greedy. As usual Floyd will get get most of the money out of this fight, and in the end Ortiz will be ****d, just when he got a title he'll be back to square one again, while Floyd will be all over town partying, bullying security guards. Ortiz is the real loser here. He was a loser to start with when he involved himself in this fiasco with Floyd. Another boring 12 round fight, running all over the ring. Clinching all the time than fighting. So who's buying this PPV? I'll wait until it's out in the ******* channels. For those feeling generous to give $60+ to Floyd's legal fund, feel free to order.

Do you see Manny calling out Floyd cause I dont? Why is all the pressure on Floyd to get the deal done? So far Manny and Top Rank havent brought anything to the table.

It would be great if Boxingscene stopped reporting whatever Arum says unless it's absolutely necessary. He is a stain on this sport and we don't need to be subjected to his biased and bitter musings.
