I had Marquez winning the first fight, and i had him winning the second by 1 point. These were great, close competative fights that could have gone either way though. As long as Marquez comes into the ring at about 144-145 lbs then he will have a solid shot at making it a solid conclusion.

i thought they were close... a lot of people thought jmm shoudve got the nod on the 2nd one... i thought a draw or a victory for jmm was appropriate.

i remember watching the fight saying.... "daaaaamn, manny got lucky on that one." LOL

but it was soooo close, that i wasnt too upset... at that time, i was favoring jmm.... but i wouldnt scream robbery.

sadly, pac/jmm III doesnt have the same intrigue... pac is too big & fast for jmm at this point... jmm can STILL time & counter him, but what effect would it have on pac??? pac tasted bigger punches... before, those counters stunned pac... but i just dont see them bothering him now.

at this point in both fighters' careers, it seems jmm is the only one STILL hungry... pac just seems to be on his way out, its as if he acknowledges that he doesnt NEED to challenge himself anymore... shame.

      jmm's heart is unbelievable...

A robbery was Sturm v DLH, Trinidad v DLH, Whitaker v Chavez......those were robberies. This one was just a close fight that could have gone either way.
            I agree

That's ******ed. Pac moved UP in weight, made truck loads of money, solidified his ATG status, seared his name in the record books, all while becoming the global face of boxing. Those sour g****s seem to be giving ur brain food poisoning bro. Pac beat jmm at least once, and chose to move on after the second fight. Judging by the results, you'd have to be a drooling buffoon to say he made the wrong decision. He simply had bigger fish to fry, no reason to stick around fighting for pride when u can fight for it all.

They fought again in March 2008 and Pacquiao won a split decision and took Marquez's super featherweight title.

the first fight shouldve gone to manroid midget not because he won the majority of it , he did not, only because the 3 knockdows in the 1st added up to too many points, jmm comfortably beat his as s aafter the 1st round for the remainder of the fight. that said marquez out landed the midget by 10 pounches, the second fight shouldve gone to marquez the momentum after the knockdown never was going toward manroid, jmm outlanded pac by 30 punches in the second fight and won way to many rounds to lose, including the championship rounds, jmm was definitley jobbed in the 2nd fight.n the look on pacs face says it all at the time of the decision not even he expected to win that fight.

I scored the first fight a draw and the 2nd fight I felt Marquez won.

But the fact is it could have gone either way and there is a case for both fighters in each fight.

That's all there is too it.
