You can't fight drug testing in negotiations it is a battle you can't win and can't look good so on the issue if he pushes for it yes Dawson has the leverage on that issue because he can make Hopkins look terrible which is obviously important to B-Hop.

There are no reasonable options for HBO with B-Hop other than Dawson nothing else makes sense HBO is not just going to throw money at B_Hop without a plan, if that plan doesn't work guess what B-Hop won't be on their station thus no fight. Showtime isn't going to pay top dollar for bullshit either, and Bute is highly unlikely until later on.

Gambler, why wouldn't HBO take other available options for other fights (reasonable contenders) for BHop?
Dawson would probably rematch against Pascal.

Requesting testing is kind of laim without the support of Boxing's goverment. Is like complaining about taxes at the IRS office. A waste of time. What boxers should do is organize formal negotiations to try to change the current rules in regards to drug testing.
I agree that drug testing needs to get update to deal with todays drugs.
Other sport are behind, but surely enough they at least discover the cheater sooner or later. Boxing will never discover the cheaters as I'm sure we are not storing boxing samples to test later.
Cheating boxers will cheat and get away with it with the current screening and that's why it will continue to grow in the sport.
