a couple things to think about:

1, filipinos are not the only ones that support pacquiao.

2, what is this writer complaining about? he talks about pacquiao fans disagreeing with who experts? teddy atlas or other people who comment on message boards? because filipinos are the only fans who disagree with analysts?

3, how about writing an article covering the other side? floyd fans are just as racist & in my opinion even more ****** than pacquiao fans. where's the article blasting them?


again as i have stated earlier, if you look at the majority of videos on youtube, the overwhelming majority are done by black men who fancy themselves as some expert who diss on pacquiao. Keep in mind floyd & manny are the first boxers whose fan base lived & started during the internet blogging comments section age. This type of rivalry & the nonsense it ensues is just the tip of the iceberg.

whenever the new p4p king comes whether it be a filipino, black, white, japanese, mexican etc you will see the same thing. to single out a fanbase because they are a very small minority in this country while not questioning the his rivals fanbase who is just as rabid & ****** is wrong. You cant get mad at fans for being fans.

I don't say the words "*******" or "*****" when im talking, id sound like some little third grader. And because id don't talk like a child, I try not to post like one. For that reason im going to stay out of the whole ******* vs ***** brawl, but I will speak on the bigger issue the aurthor touched on. The absolute lack of respect for fighters. Its really sad. Not every fighter is gonna be a monster, everyone can't be the best. That doesn't mean they deserve to be called bums, or trash, or whatever. A loss doesn't make a guy garbage, a ko doesn't mean a mans career is over. A bad showing doesn't mean someone is washed up. This is supposed to be our sport, we shouldn't be the ones talking **** about the athletes who compete in it. Now don't get me wrong, im not saying we should never have anything bad to say about a fighter or a performance. But its just gone over the edge. Its like everyone sucks, everyones a bum, everyone is washed up. U don't see that **** with other sports on their message boards, it s like if the fighter isn't ur all time favorite, he's trash. Its out of control, and the name calling is beyond childish.
