Ward will have his chance at a big win that can put him at 1.
    What about Donaire?

Ward has beaten Miranda (one of Bute's best wins, sad as it is), Kessler (considered the best fighter in the division at the time, went on to beat Froch), Green, Bika (another of Bute's best wins) and Abraham.

I don't see Bute's resume as being better than that. Bute is a joke and I don't care how much skill or power he shows in his wins because they're all against cherry-picked face-first brawlers. Bute has yet to even face anyone who knows how to throw a jab.

Bute? No chance in hell. I don't know why people like him. Since he got a gift against Andrade, he KO'd Andrade (like he should have), Brinkley, Miranda, and Magee. His resume blows compared to Ward's and it's not even close..

people like him cuz he blows guys up, plus he's been much more impressive vs common opponents than ward.

c'mon kev, everyone likes a ko artist.

and that wan't a gift, his glove was off the canvass a within 10 seconds and time was up

If so, the difference is that Ward dominated Abraham in one fight. He didn't need two fights to get it right or a referee to save him from a KO. Maybe you can enlighten us when that happened to Ward.
WTF are you talking about? I said and I keep saying it wins over Berrio, Bika, and Andrade are just as good if not better than wins over Green, Bika, and Abraham. How can you say otherwise when you look at what they have done at 168? And, yes the only reason I rank Ward higher is because of that Kessler win. But, besides that win their resume's are on par with each other. With Bute probably having the edge.

LOL @ looking at just one fight or one win. If that's the game we're playing then Bute>>>>Ward because he was much much more impressive against Bika than what Ward and Calzaghe were. You see how silly that sounds?

Good point. The little guy slipped my mind.

In that case Id say it will be a 3 man race.

Donaire could definitely take that spot in the near future. He's the truth.
