If this were true, fighters would not pack on 10, 12, 15lbs after the weigh in.

But if he weighs in at 135 he will be at a complete disadvantage. That is the point!

Either way you look at it a blown up Lightweight is fighting a WW.

Either way you look at it, JMM is moving up 2 divisions to fight him.

No one will ever get credit for that.

It's abundently clear he doesn't hense why he moved up from there, looked terrible, and move straight back down and has stayed there for 2 years.

Which again, is the whole point to why this fight is unlegit.

Struggling to understand this is rather worrying.

Pac isnt your typical WW who comes into the fight weighing around 155. Pac is a natural LWW fighting at WW. Pac comes into his fights weighing what a LWW weighs on fight night. Lets also not forget that its being held at a catchweight of 144. Pac is only going to pack on 4-5lbs after the weigh in.

smh...i give up. i dont think u understand making weight at all. go talk to a boxer who has to make weight. its a part of training and just because they rehydrate up 5 or 10 lbs doesnt mean they arent in great shape.

Pac is a typical WW he has been fighting pretty much since 2008 and is clear strong at WW weighing in at 146.

Marquez on the other hand, is the polar opposite. And weighing in at 142, is slow, blown up, and physcially a mess.

How can you not grasp this?

I never said that. What I did say is that boxers manipulate their weight classes by starving and dehydrating themselves in order to compete at a lower weight class so that they can rehydrate and pack on lbs after the weigh in to have an advantage. YOU said that it doent neccesarily mean they're killing themselves, but instead getting to an optimal weight where they feel healthy. I then said that if starving and dehydrating yourself was a matter of getting to a healthy weight, then there would be no need to pack on all those lbs after the weigh in. Read what you write.

Facts are a stubborn thing. I haven't read a good argument against this yet. The real disadvantage is not weight. It's age.

                      Yeahhhhhhh, Ok.

But not being able to understand that a particular fighter that weighs in above 140 is physcially a mess and that same fighter weighing in anything below that for this fight is at a clear disadvantage is just so much more competent.
