So naturally, Mayweather's win over JMM is legit also, No?
By this logic, of course.
Mayweather has to lose 'water' in order to make weight at 147lb. Pacquiao has to Eat constantly, literally wake up in the middle of the night to drink a protein shake and still comes in less than 145lb vs Margarito.
Different scenario. Martinez puts on 10lbs after the weigh in unlike Pac. If Martinez weighed in at 160 and packed on maybe a pound or 2 after the weight in like Pac does, then sure.
Oooooooooook, well naturally this conversation is going to end right here.

Mayweather is bigger than Pacquiao
Yet, Ariza says he was dehydrated when he fought Mosley in which he weighed in at what? 145 was it? I can't remember.
And how do you know this? Floyd Mayweather has never weighed in higher than 148 on fight night in any of his fights.
So again, surely, by your logic, as Mayweather has never weighed in higher than 148 on fight night and Marquez can naturally fght at WW (Yet he can't and openly admits he can't) then surely the fight is 100% legit?
Once again.....Floyd didnt even make the contracted weight, payed a fine for it, and refused to be weighed on fight night. One thing that was clear though, was Floyd's size advantage that night in the ring.
As will Pac when he fights JMM. Which is the whole point.
How about we leave this here and wait until they fight and see how it unfolds?

there's a reason why floyd has now REFUSED to give his fight night weight to hbo.
sure, in his early days at welter he was coming in at 147-148 ON FIGHT NIGHT, but not anymore.
As he has aged, he's going past welter ON FIGHT NIGHT. Pac is the only welterweight to come in AT WELTER ON FIGHT NIGHT.

the last time floyd allowed himself to be weighed on fight night, was in 2006. he was 149 lbs.
3 years later, including a 1.5 year retirement, how much do you think he weighed fight night against marquez? against mosley?
floyd to my eyes made shane look physically small when they fought.
The problem with this is we don't actually know this.
you can put two & two together & come up with a reasonable & very modest conclusion that with age & his reluctance to show his fight night weight in his last couple of fights that floyd doesnt come in as a welter on fight night anymore.
