the southpaw stance would give trouble for floyd. combine w/ hatton's agressiveness & judah's speed and southpaw stance, we might see floyd down and out for the first time in his career.

I'm not saying Pacquiao can't, I'm saying I can't see him doing it. Bold, yes but again, when Zab ripped Mayweather with a straight left hand, Floyd quickly got on the ropes, Zab then threw a barrage of punches landing not one. Same with Corley, Corley landed a mean counter right hook that hurt Floyd, Floyd backed into the ropes, Corley couldn't land a thing after that. Same with Mosley...

So I'm not convinced Pacquiao can do the job when he couldn't even penetrate through Clottey's guard. Mayweather's a smart dude, he'll know how to react when things get tough...

What will be interesting is seeing how a stunned Mayweather reacts to the angles that Pac will throw at him while stunned... going to be pretty hard to go into automatic defense mode when the punches being thrown at you aren't textbook ones you've been taught to defend against your whole life.

Do you think that some of that might have had to do with the fact that Clottey didn't fight back? Clottey tagged Pac with the limited punches he threw.

Ofcourse he is goin to use the high guard. But that would totally nullify whatever strength he has over Pac mainly his footwork and reach. Lets also not forget that an orthodox jab does not work on a southpaw so he is not goin to win a fight on jabs alone..

The high guard will work to his benefit, Floyd still has very good upperbody movement, can bend from the waist to defend (Solis did this against Pacquiao) and the physical strength to push Pacquiao, make him go backwards.

That is good and dandy but how is he goin to react when Pac decides to turn and moves sideways, seeing that he fights flat footed with a high guard stance.

He moves his waist but once Pac move sideways to adjust the angles of his punches there would be no reaction on Floyd's part but to use his feet to adjust to the new angles that Pac would throw coming from a different position.

i hope you're right, if pbf becomes more agressive just like in the judah fight, that would be his downfall
