You've missed the point, it's not just about numbers, geeez u floyd lovers like stats. Pac did what he had to do to Clottey in order to win. He shut him down with constant offense, doesn't matter if most of those punches didn't land clean, it got the job done. Boxing isn't about punch stats, it's about beating your opponent. Nobody has ever shut clottey down like that, so that should tell you something. Did you ever think how Floyd would do against Clottey? How would the fight go? Both guys hesitant only throwing only 20 punches per round, do you think the connect percentage of both guys would be anything spectacular? Come on man....
I am not missing any point at all.
"its not like clottey was making pac miss"
246 out of 1,230 punches.
If that's not missing then what is?
Sorry but there's no point anywhere. The point is *******s don't know wtf they're talking about.
Lets stick to the topic at hand people, Corrales got nothing to do with this. Also, don't think I need to mention that Mosley's a much better puncher than Pacquiao. Pacquiao may be more offensive minded at this point in his career, but Mosley still packs more one punch knock out power than Manny clearly.
Floyd's philly shell is susceptible to a right hook and a left straight, Pac's best punches.
Floyd can try the high guard (Floyd's stance when fighting southpaws) but he looks so akward on that stance because he tend to crouch, and thus giving away whatever reach advantage he has over Pac. Plus his footwork is compromise with the high guard stance.
This fight is gonna be a UD win by Floyd, or KO victory by Pac. There's no other outcome in my opinion...
It's easier to hit a guy who isn't afraid to throw against you.... besides, look how easily Clottey landed some big combinations on Cotto, using your logic we can say Pac's defense is 10x better than Cotto's coz he only ever got hit with one punch at a time....

Numbers don't lie, *******s do.
Those punches didn't miss my friend... they constantly hit his arms, elbows, shoulders.... just coz a punch doesn't land clean doesn't mean it wasn't effective in another way.... The way you say it, is like he was punching air all night..... A lot of those punch numbers where pawing jabs too.... if you can't see that then your bias prevents you from seeing whats really going on....

Boxingscene can be too much of a killer, even before Pacquiao and Clottey fought I knew how easily Pacquiao would handle that. I even admitted that stylistically Pacquiao would beat Clottey easier than say a Floyd Mayweather (If that ever happened). All I'm saying is, Pacquiao failed to break through Clottey's guard, that was clear. He won, good for him, I'm not knocking him, only stating the obvious here. Just that if he failed to penetrate through Clottey's guard, I doubt he'd penetrate through Mayweather's, if he ever manages to hurt Floyd.
