That is my point, why would he want to attempt to do that to a guy who hasn't been stopped in over a decade? Makes no sense to me.

I understand it would have looked great as far as him saying "I stopped Salido and Gamboa didn't" but it was too risky.

Salido is a very dangerous fighter and the fight vs Gamboa should have told you that.

Call me crazy and I think we talked about this before but I think the talent in PR is exceptional but the trainers are not.

I was shocked to see JuanMa stand and trade with Salido, why would he do that? Why would the corner allow him to do that?

If JuanMa would have chosen to box as did Gamboa for 12 rounds, JuanMa would still be champ. He got into a slug fest with Salido and that's something you don't want to do.

I think it was the fault of the corner to be honest with you, they should have prepared him to box for 12 rounds, instead, I think they honestly thought they could stop a guy who hasn't been stopped in over 11 years. Makes no sense.

I have a Mexican buddy who was in the navy with me that now lives in Vegas and is friends with Salido... When Salido said that he wasnt ready for Gamboa its true.... My buddy would go out toclubs with him, during camp to fight Gamboa!!!! The day before the fight with Gamboa, Salido spent almost 12 hours walking around in a vegas flea market buying stuff for some girl he was chasing, completely tiring his body for the fight the next day.... He could've gave Gamboa a much better fight....

Salido actually outboxed Lopez over the course of their 8 rounds, fought a defensively excellent pressure fight and found the hole in JuanMa's defence that allowed him to set up the finish. That's what JuanMa couldn't deal with, Salido's intelligence.

Clown-ass TS makes it sound like Salido just hung everything on his chin and came out looping shots and Lopez obliged him with a shoot-out. Did he even watch the fight? Nothing like a Mexican (wrongly) stereotyping his own guys.

Let's be honest here... The JuanMa that showed up for Salido was flat. He said it himself in the 1st round to his corner. Not the first time a fighter is flat for a fight and I am eager to see the rematch.

This is true.. He stood front of juanma slipping his punches all night.. Moving.. Going to the body.. Salido pretty much took him apart.
