Marg should destroy Cotto in the rematch, right?
But Marg has the chin to pull that off....

Come on man, don't make me feel like I'm talking to borderpatrol and I have to treat you like a child.

Like I said, I respect Cotto and this isn't some flame thread about wanting to discredit him. I'm just saying he was hit a lot by slow ass Mayorga.

If Marg hits him that much, it's not going to be a long fight, that's all I'm saying. I didn't see much change in him since Stewart took over, I really don't.

As a matter of fact, he was very stationary. There were times when he was moving well and boxing and you could see when he did that he was dominating Mayorga but then there were times were he was getting hit with punches he would have never got hit with before.

Cotto used to be a very, very good boxer. I just don't see that same movement anymore.

Margarito's pressure and chin will always bother Cotto but i havent seen the same Margarito pre Mosley/scandal that i saw before and i think Cotto is a much better boxer and will get the close but clear ud. It wont be easy either for either man.

Marg's chin has been cracked. Cotto is going to **** him in September.

          Screw it. I am convinced.

Margarito beats Cotto with his chin and speed.

No doubt i dont' think it's easy, I just think that when Cotto was in his prime and was able to move around, he still got waked down by Margarito.

You could be right though, if Marg is truly past it, then I could see Cotto outboxing him but what I saw against Mayorga isn't very convincing.

Cotto would have to have one last great fight in him to keep Marg off of him.

I thought he looked solid enough. His jab is still effective, and he was doing a good job of timing Mayorga with counter left hooks. But Cotto's always been a fundamentally sound fighter, always been a good jabber with decent counter punching skills - nothing that has been taught to him by Emanuel Steward.

That said, none of that will matter against somebody like Antonio Margarito.Truth is,Cotto just isn't capable of handling a true Mexican warrior like Tony.Too much pressure, too much volume, too much body punching and too many uppercuts for Cotto to overcome.

2011 will be remembered as one of the very worst years in Puerto Rican boxing history.

Isn't Marg, after needing surgical repair post-Pac fight, more likely to bleed or otherwise be less able to take punches now?

Cotto and Margarito both are past their best but i think Cotto is just the better fighter overall and his skill level will show with everything being equal. I still am very su****ious of Margarito in the first fight and think he used the same wraps he had for Mosley fight.

He has been using those victory-wraps for some time now. Freddie Roach said he thinks Margarito * has been using his wraps for a while now.

Mayorga is both faster and much more powerfull than Cheato. Cotto took some punches but they didn't face him one bit. Cheato's combination to winning was chin and volume punching he's not a big puncher like Mayorga. His punches don't have the pop they had when he faced Cotto, Cotto will outbox him and then go in for the kill just like he did Mayorga. At this stage I think that Mayorga will have been a bigger challenge to Cotto than Cheato will.
