    Examples of this.

    Danny Jacobs
    James Kirkland
Paul Williams - especially Williams, this guy was barely getting any props when dominant... even tho he fought everyone and made exciting fights

Is this just me, or has anyone noticed this crazy trend of late?
Too much great tradition/history would be a partial explanation.
When is the last you hear this, "He looks like the next 'fill in the blank.'"

blank = any of the following: SRR, Ali, SRL, Hagler, SweetP, and Hearn

With increase participation of blacks into "white-collar" jobs and improvement in economic opportunities, the "exodus" of black fighters have accelerated. Larger participation in other sports also contribute to this. If you look at the current "big-name" black fighters, a few have essentially been raised from the boxing family. Mayweather and Moseley are two examples of this.

This trend for your so-called higher standard also applies to many Mexican and Mexican-American fighters. Often, I think JMM is not respected as much due to his fighting style. I think this is plain wrong.

If you're not that good, you're not that good and those 3 fall under that category regardless of colour.

And please. Williams was being hyped as someone who could doninate in 3 divisions.
Jacobs is a young fighter that had a rough outing. He may never be whats expected but to tag "blacks" based on a prospect is ridiculous. Paul Williams is so hated for no reason at all. Black could be the only reason and I guess what ever vendetta people have with "Burner" from what Ive heard.

They love MAIDANA. He's has very average boxing skills and a piss poor attitude.

When a Black boxer gets KOed, he's back on HBO for his next fight: Paul Williams.

If a White boxer gets KOed like that, he's forever ridiculed: Tye Fields.

And in contrast, sometimes when a White boxer scores an exciting KO (Pirog over Jacobs), Greenburg and Davis are very reluctant to have him back on.

Kirkland who lost by KO 1 will be back on without needing to defeat any contenders.
Anybody with two eyes knows Tye Fields wasnt ****.

paulie is on all the time because he brings viewership and people to the fights. he created himself and worked hard to do it...which brings me to number two.

berto and dawson did NOTHING to bring their riches. they have no fans and get no ratings. they can't draw shi t in their own hometowns.

and finally the jacobs and kirkland thing. those two (especially jacobs) were given everything. jacobs was signed to GB before he beat anyone. black fighters are coddled here because of their high expectations.
What? Dawson earned his. He's been champion and beat Adamek who is a good HW right now. When a black guy does it in the ring without antics and sideshows he's hated for not being a draw. If he promotes himself then he's a clown to be hated. Damned if you do damned if you dont. Is Berto's fame anymore unwarranted than Canelo?or Malignaggi?or Katsidis who has beat nobody relevant in forever? They all stay on TV and 2 of them are just punching bags. If you claim blacks are whining and you want to ridicule then mention all the ones that fall under that category.

If they're held to a higher standard as you say,

blame their idiotic Black supremacist fans who love to shout about their athletic superiority.

If they didn't build up these fighters so high,

they wouldn't have so far to fall once they get knocked out.

So, no, they aren't held to any higher standard by boxing fans, only by race fans.

                      Care to answer my question.....

Your logic is completely flawed...so because a small minority of black fans say that black fighters have superior athleticism, they must be judged according to it....thats like me saying I should judge all white people based on what the KKK says......

Just because an uneducated, ex convict, in BHop says ****** things...doesnt mean that all black people think the same.....
