You think Pea was prime when he fought the younger, bigger DLH.

Which means you've never seen a prime Whitaker and don't know what he fights like.

But even a '97 Pea would dissect Manny like an insect in science class, end of message.

I wouldn't favor any of them, though Mayweather has the best chance IMO.

Style wise, Whitaker is a horrible matchup for Pacquiao IMO.

Yup, DLH just outworked Whitaker, who didn't do anything.

No not at all. If that were to happen I would just say Kahn was the better fighter on that night. However, Mayweather and Whitaker have/had VERY different lifestyles that made the prime windows of their careers much different. Mayweather doesn't smoke, doesn't drink, and trains year round...Whitaker on the other hand well..he liked to hit the "slopes" from time to time

I actually have a relevant question to this topic. Most of us are in agreement that Pacquiao gets embarrassed by Whitaker, his style is poison for Pacquiao. Let's say Pacquiao and Mayweather actually fight. Is there any type of performance Pacquiao could put on vs. Mayweather, who while not fighting Whitaker's style is a defensive counter puncher, that would change people's minds on that?

****** comparison. 4 different fighters, people age differently.

Mayweather is closer to his prime now than Whitaker was then.

So you're saying excuse for DLH beat Whitaker is Pernell's age. But if Khan beats Mayweather, then Khan is just better than Mayweather. Maybe DLH beat him because he better.
Mayweather parties everyday, I really doubt that he doesn't drink. He takes long vacations, but still in very good physical condition even at 34. Both Mayweather and Whitaker have similar boxing styles, which can keep them for a long boxing career.

If Manny could somehow completely neutralize Mayweather's jab, and manage to throw over 800 total punches while connecting on at least 25% and still manage to win he fight then it would slightly change my thoughts on a fantasy matchup with Sweet Pea.
