Even if Martinez being P4P #1 at 38 would lose to prospect like Lemieux, that would be pretty embarasing.
Roy Jones was considered P4P #1 at the time. Do you know why? Because, Whitaker was clearly past it. Do you know how you could tell Whitaker was clearly past it? Because, all you had to do was see his fights against Rivera and Hurtado to know that Whitaker was at the down slide of his career.

Is obvious that you do not know WTF you're talking about.

Whitaker didn't do anything? You didn't watch the fight at all did you? An old Whitaker made a prime Oscar look silly at times.

First of all he was not humiliate it you dumb fuck. A lot of people thought he won the fight. Watch the fight, or at the very least read about it before speaking on it.

Second, Whitaker was considered past prime due to his performance prior to Oscar against Rivera and Hurtado.

Mayweather parties everyday, I really doubt that he doesn't drink. He takes long vacations, but still in very good physical condition even at 34. Both Mayweather and Whitaker have similar boxing styles, which can keep them for a long boxing career.
Look at Floyd performance in his last 2 or 3 fights, compare that to Whitaker performance against Rivera and Hurtado going into the Oscar fight. Do you not see the difference?

Is there any type of performance Pacquiao could put on vs. Mayweather, who while not fighting Whitaker's style is a defensive counter puncher, that would change people's minds on that?
of course, if he works from the outside and looks so quick that floyd can't really stop him or figure him out. tko wouldn't hurt

I think he was trying to say that Whitaker was supposed to humiliate Oscar according to popular wisdom prior to the fight (off the top of my head, I wouldn't know who pundits/fans favored and how widely).

            But he's still a dumb-fuck.

              You came in too late.

He already made a swift exit.

To people saying 'Pacquiao's workrate' would give Whitaker trouble...tell me what his workrate was against Marquez. When youre in there wiffing punches to air its much more tiring than hitting a guard, especially when there are counter left hands smacking you in the face. Do you people even watch boxing?

not to mention Whitaker has landed over 400 punches 3 different times...one of which was over ATG Azumah Nelson. This myth about Whitaker having a low workrate needs to end.
