Cotto will leave a greater legacy in the sport than Mayweather!

What great fighter did Hernandez ever beat? He lost to the only two real good, prime fighters he ever fought - De La Hoya and Mayweather - who both had less than 20 fights. To say he was a great champion is ridiculous. Place holder may be a little harsh but he was nothing special.Comment

You've included Carlos Maussa for Cotto's case. Carlos Maussa. Don't talk about who is and isn't anythimg special after that.
To say Hernandez wasn't a very good champion is ridiculous.
Chicanito didn't fight good, prime fighters excepting the two Legendary ones he was stopped by (moving up in weight for DLH)? LOL, wins over a variety of good former, current or future titleholders and contenders plus a name like Nelson (if past-prime). If names like Jorge Paez and Carlos Hernandez don't mean anything to you, you don't know the opposition to judge it.
Hernandez, a fine, rounded technician, certainly ****s on Maussa, Bailey, Torres, even Malignaggi (hard to admit, as I'm a huge Paulie fan, but that's subjective). That's not even arguable.
You're high. Try again.Last edited by UmarImranKhalil; 03-27-2011, 11:41 AM.Comment

He's considered to be a very solid win on De La Hoya's stacked record. That should tell you something.

I mean, Mayweather's win over Jesus Chavez is as good if not better than those wins.Comment

This comment pretty much sums it up,
Frustration at Floyd. Some stuff about Matt Hatton and Spaddy.
He should have put that at the top of the thread to warn us that there would be nothing impartial about his judgement of Floyd's overall career vs. Cotto's.Comment

Are ppl actually coming on here and ****ting on floyds win over hernandez?? Seriously?? Hernandez is arguably one of the top 10 sfws of all time, hrs beat a number of contenders and his only career losses were to two atgs, one of which was a much bigger fighter.
Kinda easy to tell the ppl who don't know what they are talking about...and no there's no way that cottos resume is better.Comment
