IDK.... Many thought that Mosley was too good of a boxer and too fast for Cotto and look what happened.

Cotto needs to be pressured, if hes not then it could spell trouble for Mayweather or anyone else for that matter. He can neutralize speed and his jab will give anyone problems.

Mayweather has not faced a boxer/puncher the caliber of Cotto and probably never will.

I think Cotto would do very well in this match up.

Since when do left hooks land against Floyd? I ask this because a left is all Cotto practically has, he hardly uses his right hand. Notice how Oscar couldn't land a left hook, or how Shane didn't bother to throw any? He has that punch on lock down, he's a master at neutralizing it. So what does Cotto bring? Serious question, because I really don't see anything.

this is a mute thread anyway Cotto's style would be a nightmare for floyd and although floyd still wins it would be tougher and more painful than he would like, he's not as mobile as he used to be and would have to stand toe to toe more than he would like too i.e. more punishment. He would fail to knock cotto out and certainly wouldn't get the whitewash and thus the whole affair would look pretty poor compared to pacs performance v cotto. Floyd knows all this and thats why he's been ducking cotto for years and will continue to do so .... spadawhatshisname is more floyd's cup of tea

Think about it...Mosley landed like 3 meaningful punches the entire fight and almost KO's Floyd. Mayorga is a bigger puncher than Mosley is so yeah, I think it could easily happen.

Spot on. That's why Floyd will continue to duck Cotto. He'd rather fight Paul Spoofidora, er Spadafora. All these fantasy fights are pure speculation because at the end of the day, Floyd will not risk his "zero" against anyone who poses as a serious threat.

Of course it's competitive. And your a ****in ****** if you think this is a tune up fight. If this is a tune up fight, then Mosley-Floyd for the welterweight title was a tune up fight which it wasn't because it was for the welterweight title after Shane sparked out Margacheato.

But Cotto does his best against boxers. He definitely is a much bigger threat then old ass de la hoya who had a close fight with Floyd, definitely wouldn't just stand in front of Floyd like Shane and get hit without throwing back. Definitely a bigger problem then Hatton.

If it was so easy then why hasn't the fight happened yet? Or with Margarito back when Margacheato was the man? Floyd don't fight the best or people he can't easily defeat. That's why he won't fight Pac and he won't fight Cotto. Cotto exposes him and wins a close competitive thrilling decision.

Smfh..... Would you put paper on that?

Oscar left hand got nautralized against Floyd and he was dam near 20lbs bigger then him. But Cotto going to give Floyd problems and possibly beat him.

I would like to see the odds of this fight.
