If Floyd was as confident as most people here that this would be an easy fight, he would've taken it by now. Cotto is the biggest non-heavyweight draw outside of Pac. Mayweather would get a cool 30-40 mill for this fight. Too bad he only takes on good fighters when their old and the risk is alot less than when they were in their primes. Maybe he will fight Cotto, Margarito and Pac when they're 38

perfect style for Cotto. Floyd does not throw a lot of punches so Cotto can box him. unlike against Margarito and Pac who are both pressure fighters. Floyd is actually a good match up for Cotto. i dont know about winning the fight though. Floyd is still superior. but superior boxing skills doesnt always win the fight.

I think Mayweather has avoided the prime welterweights for a reason, Cotto beats him if Mayweather would fight him.

Floyd outboxes him and Cotto would have a hard time landing, I can see Cotto putting pressure but getting countered effectively by Mayweather. Cotto's just too easy to hit as a result and Cotto's footwork is not going to phase Mayweather - the pace is perfect for Mayweather.

Mayweather would struggle to lose a single round.

I dont see how cotto could do anything against Floyd.

the negotiations would be competitive. mayweather would demand a huge guarantee that is an impossible gamble for the promoter and twice floyd's previous career high and then *****s would say cotto is ducking him. oh wait that already happened! it was a good fight after all.

floyd would beat him easily at this stage.

even in hcottos prime floyd would outbox him and win a UD, but back then cotto would be willing to walk through hell to get him so it would be a long nights work for floyd to do so. today i think mayweather knocks him out late.

PBF would beat COTTO, as he would KO Margarito EASY, and win against Pacquiao by UD. NO ONE CAN BEAT PBF!!!!

I got nothing but respect for Cotto, His jab is tops, good power, footwork is good, deceiving hand speed, great chin, But there is nothing Floyd doesn't do better than Cotto. Cotto has shown trouble with speed and pressure, Floyd can give effective pressure even as a counter puncher and if he feels in the ring he has you and he can.become the aggressor and that's really when he clowns. Cotto's best shot is his jab and body punching, but considering Floyd hands are 2x faster and he could probably counter with a lead right over Cotto's jab, it would ineffective, Body shots have been said to be the key but been there done that, and since Cotto doesn't have enough power to bother Floyd he couldn't go in there hoping for one big shot, it could be a shut out on cards with Floyd landing 45%+ and Cotto under 20%
