Margarito fought as well against Pac as he did against Cotto - and he did better against Pac than Cotto did. If he was dog food after Mosley then he was dog food before Mosley.

Margarito was always overrated skill wise but he TKO'd Cotto and Shane whupped Margarito and KO'd him soon after. Then Margarito got suspended for a year, came back and wasn't impressive at 154, then fought Pac at a 150 catchweight for Martinez's vacant title. Margarito was done after Shane. No near the fighter he was before he got suspended.

Do you blame him? Pac and Floyd both won 154lb titles. I am sure Pac or Floyd won't fight Martinez. Sergio just has to keep fighting the tougher, ranked guys and he won't need them.

nope....i am saying he is entitled to chose to earn his keeps on fights he believe will bring him more financially and enhance his legacy in the sport....both of which can be attained by fighting, specially winning fights over pac & pbf...

You obviously haven't watched the Pac-Margarito fight. Marg fought far better in that fight than he had fought in any fight since Cotto, and he fought just as well as he fought against Cotto. Pac was hurt more, and more often, by Marg than by any previous opponent.

don't cry for fighters who lost matches under catchweights...they agreed to fight at those levels coz they believed they can win those matches... the fact that they lost and were not giving excuses should indicate to all to accept that as part of the sports/games..

sergio is aching for really big money fights...that is why instead of calling up guys at the heavier levels (where he thinks he won't get the big pie) he's calling up on pac...and also is challenging pbf by relegating pbf under him on the p4p list...

Fighting the best means fighting the best in your own weight class or higher, not picking on smaller fighters. If Vitali called out Pac, would you consider that meant Vitali wants to fight the best?
