Margarito was always overrated skill wise but he TKO'd Cotto and Shane whupped Margarito and KO'd him soon after. Then Margarito got suspended for a year, came back and wasn't impressive at 154, then fought Pac at a 150 catchweight for Martinez's vacant title. Margarito was done after Shane. No near the fighter he was before he got suspended.

nope....i am saying he is entitled to chose to earn his keeps on fights he believe will bring him more financially and enhance his legacy in the sport....both of which can be attained by fighting, specially winning fights over pac & pbf...

You obviously haven't watched the Pac-Margarito fight. Marg fought far better in that fight than he had fought in any fight since Cotto, and he fought just as well as he fought against Cotto. Pac was hurt more, and more often, by Marg than by any previous opponent.

            im NOT CRYING DUMB AZ
            JUST STATING A FACT
FLOYD WENT UP TO 154 TO FIGHT OSCAR FOR HIS BELT AT 154
BACK COULDNT DO IT AND FOUGHT FOR A BELT NEITHER ONE DESERVED OR EARNED A SHOT AT

WHAT I CANT ACCEPT IS THAT PAC WANTS ALL THE ADVANTAGES IN ALL HIS FIGHTS. WHEN DID OSCAR EVER ASK FOR ALL THE ADVANTAGES AND AS FAR AS CASH COW GOES HE IS SECOND ONLY TO IRON MIKE AND BARELY

PAC CANT EVEN HOLD OSCARS JOCK STRAP WHEN IT COMES TO REVENUE

WHY DIDNT PAC FIGHT MOSLEY WHEN SSM OFFERED TO COME IN AT 142?

CAUSE ROACH SAID HE IS TOO GOOD. NOW THAT HE IS 2 YEARS OLDER AND WAY PAST IT THEY WANT TO TAKE HIM ON INSTEAD OF TAKING ON A YONG LION WITH SPEED AND POWER. IF PAC WERE AS GOOD AS YOU ALL CLAIM THEN HE COULD FIGHT NOBODIES AND MAKE BANK ALA OSCAR VS MAYORGA (OVER 900K PPVS) INSTEAD HE CHOOSES PAST PRIME SLOW FORWARD COMING NO DEFENSE FIGHTERS WHO HAVE NOT LOOKED IMPRESSIVE IN THEIR LAST FIGHTS.

IMO IF PAC WERE TO BEAT A BERTO, KHAN, ALEXANDER, ORTIZ, JUDAH, BRADLEY (ANY ONE NOT ALL) I WOULD GIVE HIM MORE RESPECT AND SO WOULD THE BOXING WORLD CAUSE HE WOULD TAKE ON A REAL CHALLENGE A LIVE OPPONENT.

Why do *******s think its about money? Maybe just maybe he wants to be the best so to do that he fights who are considered the best. I dont think its about money

so paulwiliams the man that pac and floyd and cotto and mosley and clottey all avoided is now all of a sudden not a tough opponent?
                  Wow

Beating Welterweights, especially under-sized ones, will do nothing for the legacy of the world Middleweight champion.

Fighting the best means fighting the best in your own weight class or higher, not picking on smaller fighters. If Vitali called out Pac, would you consider that meant Vitali wants to fight the best?
