Not arguing who Martinez should fight next but there is some revisionist history going on with Dzinziruk. Dude is a solid fighter who was undefeated and a lot of people thought he was, at a minimum, a live underdog. Martinez made him look like a clubfighter. I would still make Dzinziruk a favorite to beat most if not all 154ers. Same with P. Williams. He wasn't a bum until he got KO'd by Martinez.
Now he's "exposed."

Funny how Hatton wasn't "exposed" by Mayweather, Cotto wasn't "exposed" by Margarito, Clottey wasn't "exposed" by Cotto and Margarito wasn't "exposed" by Mosley before they all fought Manny P.
All of them were good wins for Manny P. So were Martinez' wins over P. Williams and Dzinziruk

I understand where Sergio is coming from. Pac and May are #1 and #2 P4P, so in his mind it seems that he's thinking the only way to take the #1 spot is to beat the both of them(Money is probably a factor as well, but I'm erring on the fact that he said he wants to beat the best). What Sergio doesnt seem to get though is that he doesn't have to fight either one of them to overtake them at the #1 spot. He can carve out his own path to the top spot on the P4P rankings without them.

If he cleans out 160(Which wouldn't take much), and goes up and knocks off say Carl or Andre. It will be unarguable that he is #1 P4P.

they've stretched themselves out far enough that if they fight a great jmw like sergio, realistically, they're going to lose.

so if sergio fights either 1 of them and wins, at a division where they clearly aren't at their best, what good does it do sergio except for the money he'll be making?

Martinez had fought over 20 fights in the 154 lbs division and his last four fights have been at middleweight! How many times has Floyd Jr or Pacquiao fought in the 154 lb division? And what fight will Floyd Jr's (if he fights again) and Pacquiao's next fight be at? That tells the story right there. Neither fighter will ever fight at 154 lbs again and you can't fault them for that. People who just want to see either Floyd or Pacman lose are demanding that fight. Of course they will lose, Martinez is naturally bigger, taller and stronger than both men. I don't expect to see Sergio move up to 168 lbs like most people however I think he would school Froch, AA, Taylor, Dirrell and Johnson. I think Bute and Ward would be pick-em fights. Can you imagine Floyd Jr and/or Pacman fighting any of those forementioned super middles....????

hmmmmmm damn bro dirrell and froch would get SCHOOLED by sergio is going a lil bit too far bro...he would b in a great fight against them but froch has punching power and is a huge 168 dirrell on the other hand is very skilled and fast and johnson is rugged tough mutha who brings it every time the guy has a great chin and relentless pressure and punching power himself

Well, as mentioned - and proven - on at least 4 occasions now.....

Pac never intended to fight a genuine JMW, or defend that title.

And Team Pacquiao stated that well BEFORE the Margarito fight.

They just wanted to cheat a title at 154 vs that ww bum Margarito.

Canelo, Manny would fight..... but Martinez, he would not.

Mayweather fighting Martinez?..... I seriously doubt that either.

When did Manny say he would fight Canelo? The WBC was the one who put up the belt for Pacquiao vs. Margarito so they could make more money with sanctioning fees (at the behest of Bob Arum), just like the Canelo vs. Hatton fight (so they can make more money every time Canelo fights). The Pac vs. Marg fight was signed before the belt was on the line so they added the belt to make money. Manny knows that he is not a junior middleweight champion, he was a belt holder that meant nothing to his fans except the nuthuggers that like to exclaim him as an 8 division champion. Manny doesn't go around claiming to be a junior middle champ, he claims to be a welterweight champ, just like Mayweather never claimed to the junior middle champ because ODLH wasn't the best 154 lber out there...

Sergio has had over 20 fights at 154 lbs and the last 4 were at middleweight. Plus, he is a middleweight champion and both Manny and Floyd have maxed out. Neither guy should fight Sergio, it would be career suicide. I understand Sergio wants the money but if he really wants to cash out, 168 lbs is where the money is. He doesn't need to fight there for my respect (he already has mad respect from me) but the only big money fight for him is Ward or Bute, especially if they remain undefeated...
