Floyd fight Martinez. He wouldn't dare..

Floyd would never fight Sergio Martinez. He's too gutless to fight someone of a caliber that Martinez posseses. I feel bad for Floyd's legacy, always going to be known as the guy that was ducking and dodging in his later years of his career.

Well, first off, Sergio wouldn't keep his hands down that low against those guys and he is faster than most of them. Maybe school was the wrong word however I am pretty sure he can beat the ones I mentioned. Froch is slow with decent boxing skills, AA is even slower and Taylor wilts in every fight. Dirrell is fast and might create a close fight if he can ever fight again. Johnson would be the hardest fighter out there however at his age, with the wars he has had and having to make 168 lbs after fighting all those years at 175 lbs, at some point it's going to take it's toll. School was the wrong word and I admit that, however, I do believe he can win the fights mentioned, however, he doesn't need to fight them for my respect, he will need to fight them for big money though...

Funny Sergio you just said last night you can't go to 168lb to face a harder weight class, said their will be too big of a size advantage , next day you calling the smaller guys and you are larger size wise than margarito .

Haha...Pacfans are starting to hate Martinez because he's a threat to Manny p4p status. I feel as long as Martinez can meet the contracted weight to fight either of those two it should happen.

You cannot fault Sergio for saying he will not go to the 168 lbs division. If he said he could, there would be more reason for Mayweather and Pacquiao to not fight him. He needs to say that now but when he realizes neither will commit career suicide and fight him, he will probably need to go to 168 lbs in the future for the bigger money fights. I don't think there is a middleweight in the world that can beat him, let alone a junior middle and when you are that good, the only place to go is up. He may not want to but that will be where the money is, especially if Bute and Ward remain undefeated...

so if sergio fights either 1 of them and wins, at a division where they clearly aren't at their best, what good does it do sergio except for the money he'll be making?
Money of course...and also proving he's the best. He's considered 3rd on the P4P list and Floyd and pac are @ #1-2. Like he said in his interview. He wants to fight the best (manny/floyd) and be considered P4P #1. (which he's #3 in back of who? manny/floyd)

It's a risky fight for all but Sergio.

so many morons in the world

Martinez is TWO full division above Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. AT THE F_U_CKING MOMENT.

Both Floyd and Manny are considered 'small' welterweights.

Pacquiao already jumped 8 Division from the division he 1st won a belt.

                Floyd already jumped 3 Division.

Martinez is calling them for money which is not a bad thing. what makes it bad is these two 'smaller' men are ducking him.

The thing is Sergio had a huge chest and shoulder that were his power comes from, think cotto and Martinez will happen, money their, and if cotto can keep from getting ko , cotto can win it on points he has better boxing skills and body punches.

you don't have to fight the #1 and #2 fighters on the p4p list to overtake them.

                      what if nonito was #1?

how is he going to pull that off?

bottom line is, if he fights pac/floyd at jmw, he'll be at his best while pac/floyd won't be.

so even if he beats both of them, imo, he doesn't score major points.

now, if he goes up and beats bute or ward, he'll be my p4p #1, 2 and 3.

pac and floyd will be #4 and #5 respectively.
