Comments Thread For: Sergio Martinez: I Want Mayweather, Pacquiao, The Best!

WBC “emeritus” middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (47-2-2, 26 KOs) stopped previously unbeaten WBO junior middleweight beltholder Sergiy Dzinziruk (37-1, 23 KOs) in eight rounds on Saturday night at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Martinez received credit for a knockdown in the fourth, and then dropped Dzinziruk in round five, and then put him down three more times in round eight for the TKO win.

"It's on my mind. It is an obsession. It motivates me. I know that I will be number one pound for pound and I will obtain it."
This is why this guy is personally my P4P No.1 boxer right now.

While Floyd is on vacation and Manny keeps on fighting no-hopers, Sergio is beating the best out there.

yea because a 5'6 former flyweight who is fighting on his 8th or 9th division is a ducker if he doesnt go up to freaking middleweight to fight sergio.

so when did dzinkiruk, a 154 pounder, become the best?

against the middleweight champion of the world?

If Martinez can make 154lbs I don't see why they shouldn't fight him. Besides each other there is nothing else really left for them at welter, and they've both made successful forays into light middleweight already.

Last night was similar to Alverez fighting Hatton for a title! Joke! Why didnt martinez fight him at 154? He could of at least done that. Same outcome i know but making a less skilled less powerful guy go up and fight the best is bull****. Cherry picking ****.

sergio, go call out the participants in the super 6.

calling out fighters who started in divisions south of lightweight doesn't make you a bad man.

it just makes you a gold digger.

Martinez makes his fights look easy and his opposition look mediocre.

Who the *** is top 5 in middleweight when he beat the nr1 guy Pavlik for the ring belt?
