Floyd has the skills but to fight a guy like Martinez, you have to bring your A game and be hungry. Martinez is dangerous. dude is outboxing and KO guys that have never been KO'd. I have always been for Floyd because I didn't see anyone that I thought could beat him, until Martinez. I'm up in the air about that one but leaning towards Sergio.I like Sergio. He's big and strong but I saw him get hit a lot by a guy not nearly as fast or clever as Floyd. Floyd would not try to KO Sergio. I think it would be a great fight and very winnable for Floyd. Floyd can come in @ 150 with the full focus on outsmarting and outboxing Sergio.Comment

because manny never been fought at JMW, but he fought a JMW fighter while he was within the ambit of WW! And whether you like it or not, he will defend it or not, and whatever his intention is, he deserves that 8th division title! Now, you wanted that Pac being a WW will fight again to defend his title against a legit JMW? or should I say, the legit JMW should fight a WW fighter for the JMW title???, huh?Rubbish SceneSpectator !!
Firstly.....
FACT: Manny NEVER intended to fight a genuine JMW.
They just wanted to cheat a JMW title by fighting a welterweight bum.
This interview was taken just before the Margarito fight.....
"But, like Freddie and Alex told me, from here on out Manny will stick to the welterweight division. They feel 147 pounds is the realistic limit for him and I can’t disagree. They know the fighter inside out.".....
http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/sports/10...-pacman-fights
Manny never intended to defend that title.
the question is, why should JMM will fight Pac in JWW while he fought PBF at WW? and who was calling? was it not JMM calling Pac and PAc right now opted to fight at WW.. so JMM just right to meet Pac in his opted weight class.. afterall, even there will be no agreed catchweight at WW, they will never weighed at full 147lbs during scales and even during fight night. Why, did you see Pac fought at 147lbs or over???Secondly.....
If Manny's " ideal weight class is at JWW " as you correctly suggest, then why does Pac demand that Marquez come up to 147 ?
Simple.....
"However, this fight only makes sense to me if it takes place at junior welterweight (and I would hope Marquez would weigh-in under 140 pounds). Why Pacquiao and company refuse to even consider fighting Marquez at 140 pounds (instead of the 144 or 147 they stipulate) is a very good question. The answer is obvious: they want every conceivable advantage against their aging but still-dangerous nemesis.".....
let me guess, whether you're just blind.. or in-born Pac-hater! is the precise answer!http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/1...friday-mailbag
Now, to all honest boxing fan's, Manny's cherry-picking is making him a laughing stock. Even normally genial writers are slagging Manny off now.
But as far as Manny's non-boxing fan-boy's are concerned.....
..... they don't know **** about boxing, so they just resort to the old lame excuse..... "Manny is the draw"Last edited by SceneSpectator!; 03-14-2011, 12:07 AM.Comment

Martinez would be very tough for Floyd but Floyd would be pumped for Martinez cause if he isn't he would get stopped. I can see Floyd putting on a masterpiece cause I know he would never sit in front and try to **** with Martinez.Comment

Floyd is someone you could never underestimate because he is a thinking mans fighter but so is Martinez. Sergio is setting everything up that he wants to do and it is effective. He gets hit but he takes a punch well. Floyd and Sergio could be boring too because it would be like a chess match, as both try to find their spots and time everything. The thing that makes me lean towards Sergio is because if homie gets a good look and opening, he can end a fight with one punch. Martinez has a jab too and a jab is a good weapon against Floyd. Floyd is definitely on another level but so is Martinez. I would be hesistant to put money on Floyd if the fight took place at 154.Comment

and i believe so with arum, as long as pac could not make it or even to the minimum weigh of JMW scale, he should not fight in the JMW again. That's why, there's reasons for weight class divs! this is sports, not to go there for suicide! Afterall, Pac found his weight-class limit and will never going up again from WW, and that's good and the right way to do by him.

Pavlik's loss to Hopkins was as dominant, more so imho, but not as brutal. Can't the same thing be said about Pavlik? Those situation were no different yet Martinez victory of Pav is greatest thing since slice bread even though h was dominated by an older fighter in worse fashion. Hatton was competitive than any Floyd opponent since JLC. Kelly didn't win so much as a round against B-hop and has been mentally broke since then.
People waaay underestimate that loss for Hatton.
That was a devastating, as well as highly embarrassing, knockout.
You are right in that there are similarities.
Except that Hatton was at the end of his career and on the slide.
Hopkins simply broke Pavlik.Comment

There is no " 152 ", 154 is JMW.
How/why, should Martinez put his MW belt on the line at either 152 or 154?Comment
