Hopkins and Roy fought at 20 or so fights into their young careers, and are both all time greats.

It was a significant fight in retrospect.

You're the same idiot who can't tell how good Ray Robinson is because you can't watch black and white film.

Put down the bong, and grow up. His name is Hopkins. Your insistance at insulting him everytime you mention him as well as slighiting him in your avatar shows what a moron you are.
Why you keep Bringing the Sugar Ray fight. I never mentioned anything about the Ray fight. We are talking Jones & anyone can tell you that wasn't a big fight at that time, still it was a damn boring fight which it could've gone to Bitchkins. If Bitchkins would've won that fight, I would've not cried that Jones was robbed. How many times I have to tell you that I think Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest boxer of all time. Anyone can tell you that fights look much better today, because we have better technology. Aren't you the same idiot that thinks Duran would've beaten Whitaker & Mayweather. So STFU dumbass!

        That has always slayed me.

I don't see how anyone with the slightest idea of how to score a fight could have Tarver ahead in that fight.

He spent most of the fight stalking Jones without punching, and won the rounds he did with very brief flurries as Jones backed himself to the ropes.

Jones controlles most of the rounds by pot shotting, and anyone that had Tarver ahead when Jones CLEARLY won rounds 11 and 12 has no idea what they're talking about.

I think too many people confused the fact with seeing Jones having declined somewhat with Tarver somehow winning rounds where he landed 4 punches.

Even a draw in that fight is a stretch.

Jones and Hopkins are both Hall of Fame fighters, and all time greats.

They fought when they were both 20 fights or so into their pro careers, and Jones clearly won a compeitive fight about 8 rounds to 4.

It was for a title, (the 1st title fight for both) and both men didn't lose until YEARS after.

Again, your logic is flawed, as it asserts if two great fighters fight early in their careers it's not significant (IE Leonard and Beneitez).

You don't know what you're talking about AND you're a teenager for your constant insults towards Hopkins when discussing a fight involving him.

Again, put down the bong and grow up.

Judah is not as glass chinned as people say. Nor is Lewis.

How is lennox china chinned when he went to war with.....and absorbed punishment from Mercer, Vitali, Briggs, and others. Oh yeah and any time Tyson or Tua hit him......it didint do ****.

Zab has been in with ****ers like Ward, Pineda, Rangel, and Bergman? and if you think they cant punch......please dont respond. Lets not make this into a discussion about your hatred of Zab either.

that may be true, and i was playing decils advocate, i never said that was my opinion.

i believe that prior to this fight, rjj was pretty much untouchable, seeing someone so competitive with him probably swayed thier opinions on the fight. id say the judges got it right however

                  Well said.

Anyone that thinks Lewis had no chin really needs to review the Mercer fight.

I watched it again the other week, and it was a war. GREAT Heavyweight fight.

Lewis is not exactly glass chinned. But he did suffer one punch knockdouts from McCall and Rahman who are only fairly dangerous punchers. Judah on the other hand, was knocked out in one punch by Tzyu, and also dropped twice vs Corey Spinks. In addition Judah knockdowns and knockouts are on a much shorter timeline than Lewis.'
