He didn't win 4 rounds it was more like 2 and a point deduction, it was an embarrassing loss.Comment

Dirk it is true that Naseem did not win 4 rounds in that fight. I have watched that fight many times, the most recent being a few months ago. I am not sure if I scored a single round for Hamed.
Tyson is the greater fighter and I'm sure you would agree if Hamed fought out of Yemen and not the UK, as you are coming off as nationalistic as it is not debatable as to who is greater between Tyson and Hamed. It is Tyson. Tyson is regarded as one of the greatest of all time, and a top 10 ATG heavyweight. There really is no comparison in greatness.
This is coming from a huge Hamed fan.
I agree with Dirk in that Hamed lost interest. I don't see how that is really arguable. It is clear that Hamed wasn't interested in boxing for a while up until the Barrera fight. He had made a fortune, was one of the most beloved fighters of his countries history, and had started a family and had 2 young children. Without question Hamed had lost his love and hunger for the sport and had it been a hungry and focused Hamed, it would have been a different fight. He may have knocked Barrera out, or he may have lost. One thing is for sure, Barrera wasn't knocking out Hamed at any point in his career, but I could see Hamed knocking out Barrera.
He was totally outmatched, outclassed, outboxed, but he never came close to being knocked out. The same can't be said for Barrera and if Hamed had trained properly and showed up at his absolute best, he may very well have scored a KO victory.
Hamed still fought pretty well for the fighter he was at that point in his career.Comment

Tyson is not even a top 10 HW, let alone one of the greatest fighters ever. Thats ridiculous.Dirk it is true that Naseem did not win 4 rounds in that fight. I have watched that fight many times, the most recent being a few months ago. I am not sure if I scored a single round for Hamed.

And saying Naz didnt win a round is even more ridiculous.Comment

That is what nearly all boxing historians believe and just about what every person who knows boxing well will tell you. Tyson is on nearly every top 10 ATG heavyweight list and in most top 100 p4p lists.
What is ridiculous is what you are saying. If you are not aware of the greatness of Mike Tyson that is known throughout the world, then this thread has no place for you. You should take some time to educate yourself on heavyweight history and the amazing career of the legendary Mike Tyson. Your assessment is pitifulComment

But once you stop being romantic about it and look at his career, its not one of the greatest ever....not even close. He had a good run where he knocked out mostly overmatched opponents, then got KTFO by Buster Douglas, went to jail. I wont even mention his career post-prison.
He has one of the most exciting styles ever, one of the biggest names ever. One of the greatest careers? NoComment
