What kind of bologne is that? Myweather weighed 148 on fight night against De La Hoya who weighed 160 and was/is like 3 inches taller than Mayweather BUT Floyd fought at the official weight of 154 and won the title from Oscar. Pac weighed 148 against Margarito but the fight was at a 150 catchweight for a vacant title. Why does Manny get exempt from fighting guys at their natural and official weight for championship titles but get all the credit in the world for doing it? I'm sure that Manny wouldn't fight Martinez because in my opinion. Sergio would knock Manny's head off of his shoulders.
I guess "Pac fans" generally have certain viewpoints, but I'm my own person. I have my own views:

Take Sergio Martinez, and allow the best fighter at super middleweight, with a 20 plus pound advantage on fight night, and that fighter will knock Sergio's head off.

(Not being sarcastic, but just to clarify: I'm putting the scenario of Manny fighting Sergio into Sergio fighting ________)

Why would I "jock" Pac. Very childish. Don't resort to name-calling because you have nothing intelligent to argue. I'm done with you now.

Well what do you think Winky's weight was when he fought Shane? Did you even care what it was? I didn't think so.

I guarantee you Sergio wouldn't weigh as much as Margarito did against Pac because he would give up speed coming in that heavy. Even Roach commented on fighters rehydrating up too much.

Was it 21 pounds? Let me know.

As you probably read on my signature, Shane fought the best out there. That's part of the reason why I love him. Thanks for bringing that up.

You told me yourself that he would rehydrate 15-18 pounds. Remember?

Martinez weighed 159 1/2 lbs against Kelly Pavlik at Middle weight. What is Sergio's fight night weight in his match against Paul Williams? Where did you get this 20LB weight difference from? Martinez is indeed bigger than Pac but don't blow it out of proportion. Margarito would probally still be heavier than Martinez if Pac fought Sergio.

Does weight win fights or skills? Is weight the real concerned or is Martinez skills the concern? Pac wouldn't take this fight if Martinez could make 147 and you know it.

I can only guess but thinking about it I would say no more than 160-165. Whatever his comfortable weight is. I'm sure he would want to maintain his speed.

Why would there be such a weight disadvantaged? Sure, if Sergio Martinez doesn't gain any weight, he probably would come in 15-20lb lighter than the average super middleweight fighter. Typically though, as I said in my post before, when someone fights at a higher weigh class, they put on some pounds in order to come in closer to their opponent's weight. If Martinez would start fighting at super middle weight, I would expect him to come in heavier than when he fought at middleweight. What I don't understand is why people just assume Pacquiao shouldn't do the same. If a fight between Pacquiao and Martinez is made at 154 somehow, why is it a given that Pacquiao will come at at 148? Why don't people expect Pac to put on some more weight just like every other fighter moving up a weight class. Sure, Pacquiao came in light against Margarito, but that was Pacquioa's own fault. He chose to come in light because he didn't want to put in the work that's required to gain weight. Any other disciplined fighter would have put in the work to gain weight.

If you don't think that weight should be considered, then I don't know why I'm arguing with you.
