I am not sure but I think it is a video out there with Roach talking about Shane again. Going to investigate.
First bold print: This is probably the best that you'll do as far as admitting you made a mistake.

Freddie Roach would never, ever say that someone is too good for his fighter. For goodness sake, he has been saying that Amir Khan would beat Mayweather. There is no way that he ever said that.

My post: "Secondly, I believe that was quoted from Shane Mosley. I'm not so sure that Freddie actually said that. I would imagine that, if he did say something, Freddie said something along the lines of Shane being too big of a fighter for Manny. This was after Shane destroyed Margs in January of '09, and Shane wasted the entire year trying to get a big fight now that his name was back in the hat of top fighters in boxing."

Your post: You imagine? Look at all the uncertainties in your post? You got the nerve to try and make me look foolio AND you got the nerve to say I'm the one putting words in peoples mouths and such? I'm providing videos, links and proof that Roach thought Shane was too good for a fight with Pac and all you are doing is telling me to prove it when I did and am already? Just take a look at YOUR post above? Get off the grill son because YOU are well done.[/QUOTE]

Would you like me to provide you with a video right now that shows that "Freddie said something along the lines of Shane being too big of a fighter for Manny"?

Apparently Shane was too good to fight Pac at that time.

Roach said that Shane was better than Oscar and that's why Shane didn't get the fight. Pac fought Oscar at 147 but didn't want to fight Shane at 147/143/142 and fought Cotto at 145. Size had nothing to do with it because Pac fought De L Hoya at 147 first to test the waters and he did great. Why didn't Mosley get the shot at Pac at 147 or even Cotto for that matter? Roach wasn't concerned about weight. He was concerned that Shane might kick Pac's ass after what Shane did to Antonio Margarito. That video says it all for me quote or misquote. Mosley was just considered too much by Roach for Pac.

i know it annoys boxers when pac and floyd are brought up every time they are brought up even when it has nothing to do with the post

"Shane came to the gym twice to ask me to let him fight Manny,"Roach says. "I told him no both times, and both times for the same two reasons: First, there isn't enough money there, and second, you're too good a fighter.

Saying "research on boxingscene moron" is not a source. You sound childish for calling me a moron. Argue intellectually, or go ahead and sound like a child.

Now, as I said before, your post is inaccurate. Show me a source.

Freddie said we (meaning him and Pac) would fight Martinez if he would drop down in weight, but it had nothing to do with the middleweight titles. Sergio was calling out Pac, even though he is way too big for Pac. So, in response, Roach said something along the lines of "we'll fight you, if you come down in weight". Sergio obviously can't, so there's no fight.
