Roach made his remark as regards Pac and duran many moons ago, and it was a lightweight fight. Roach has said Pac is the best ever fighter as well many times.

Pacs prime is better than Durans prime. Duran lost to Laing and i know for a fact that Pac would have been slaughtered verbally if he lost to Laing, because lets face it people slaughter Pac for having tough fights with JMM. The expectations of Pac are highter, whereas people excuse Duran for losses to Laings of this world because people expect less of Duran. It would be like Pac losing to Margarito and todays version of Margarito is still more highly celebrated than Laing anyway.
And Pac wouldnt ever lose to Margarito anyway.

So Pac gets hit all the time now, people are implying, but its just no one can knock him out. Thats a good reason Pac would do well against Duran then. Becuase Pac could outspeed Duran all day and night, but if he was to get hit and something got through Pac would mostly likely take it.

Nothing to make me think otherwise. Other lesser fighters than Pac took Durans most vicious punches so why not FOTD Pac?

I agree 100% the logic he is using is ******ed. I have no issue with people saying Pac would beat a prime Duran even tho I whole heartedly disagree, but bringing up stuff like Duran lost to Laing and Pac would have beat Laing so Pac would beat Duran? I think Manny could beat Duran, but no way that happens. Duran is one of the best defensive fighters of all time when he was in his prime.

I want to see the fight where he was a defensive genius. Not being sarcastic but Ive never seen it.

I see Pac knocking Duran out in the middle rounds. We've seen that movement frustrated Duran and made him lax. Pac would use quick burst of 6 and 7 punch combinations then back alll the way out. The only way you beat Pac is with accurate countering and though Duran was a pretty good counter puncher he wasnt that accurate. His counter punching revolved more around catching fighters off guard with repeated haymakers. If Pac stands toe to toe then he risks taking a fight ending body shot. As long as he fights the right fight by comboing and getting all the way out with his good lateral movement he shouldnt lose.
