Froch is a great example why resume is so important

Huh? Do you even know what you're talking about? Im not really that arsed tbh, I pay for his fights and watch them so really its not a big deal to me.
It is a personal travesty for Froch himself that hes taken on a series of fights that almost unprecedented, yet he gets no attention. Theres no doubt in my mind he'd be a bigger star with Skys backing.
I dont see where my responses are off subject. I just dont agree. You've never been the smartest guy in a conversation for a little history lesson.Comment

Calzaghe is a top-100 ATG. Live with it.
Froch has the potential to be even greater that JC if:
- he wins the Super-6 by beating Johnson and Ward,
- avenges his only (narrow) defeat to Kessler (I scored the fight a draw),
- and he then moves up to LHW and unifies/becomes lineal champion by kicking some serious ass!
He'd potentially have wins over:
- Jean Pascal [prime and undefeated] (maybe 2 wins over Pascal if they rematched)
- Jermain Taylor
- Andre Dirrell [prime, undefeated]
- Arthur Abraham
- Glen Johnson
- Andre Ward [prime, undefeated]
- Mikkel Kessler [avenging his only loss]
- Lucian Bute [prime, undefeated]
- Bernard Hopkins [past-prime, but still a legit win]
- Chad Dawson [prime]
- Tavoris Cloud [prime, undefeated]
The chances of him beating Ward, Hopkins, Kessler, Dawson, Bute and Cloud? Pretty slim. But you can never bet against the Cobra, he's proved all of his critics wrong time after time.Comment

He's an overrated typical inbred english northern monkey.
No top 3 SMW fighter would lose to Kessler who was coming off a loss to Warde, and I was rooting for Froch in that fight and he got beat. Kessler is a guy who got beat by a 36yr oldman Calzaghe when he was a prime 28. If Froch can't even beat an older Kessler he's just a average fighter.
Now we have what always happens on this forum, Froch wins one fight and then gets hyped up like he's some amazing fighter.
If he loses to 41 year old Johnson, he's suddenly **** again.Comment

"Good point"? Try MAJOR point.
BTW, I couldn't support the cause. My provider, ****** Media, didn't carry the channel.
^^ Get it now? Thanks for proving my point.
Well. Now that's said. Actually, I *did* support, by buying the fight online (my only option).
But that still doesn't change the fact that Primetime is an obscure, small-time channel that offered Carl's fights next to no promotional push. The kind of affair that only a guy who reads a boxing forum (me) would have been aware of for the most part.
Now it's our fault because we're not riding out on Froch. That's why we read boxing forums, pay for streams of his fights and are here arguing his cause into the early hours with dunce-cap wearers.

That being said, did you ever think you are a rare breed and it would benefit Sky to put time and money into a guy with limited potential fan base. That may be the way they see it. I dont see them shutting out Froch if they thought he had revenue potential. Maybe I am in the dark. Did he bad mouth them or something.Comment

-Citing US TV networks in a convo about a British fighter's domestic star potential ring any bells?
-Telling us that Amir Khan's appeal in the UK boils down to being snapped and papped with 'famous people'?
-Telling us that Froch wouldn't be a domestic STAR right now if he'd been backed by the company who, in the last 2 years, made PPV stars of guys doing less (and doing it less excitingly overall) than Froch has been doing?
You couldn't have possibly been more wrongheaded and unwilling to receive insight in this convo,Comment
