That fight was a joke, I would love to get the scoop on that one.

Pacquiao has not faced a live dog since Marquez.

Miguel was a good win, but that was nowhere near a prime Cotto.
I think that is just hating but whatever.

    • I wouldn't mind seeing the 3rd fight. Let them put an end to the debate.

I think it could be argued his 08 wasn't the best in the sense that alot of people including myself though Marquez won and the other two fights were with Diaz and De La Hoya and although De La Hoya was favourite as the fight progressed it was evident Oscar was a dead man in there.

Although at the end of the day Pacqiauo did win regardless to the controversy and it was close in fairness.

Maybe it's just overshadowed by his incredible 2009 but his 09 was alot better than his 08 in my opinion its impossible to dispute his 09.

Floyd set a record on , Marquez A$$.

And since you wanna act like your being technical, the fight was at 147, it was at 144 and changed prior to the fight, before fight night to be technical, and MARQUEZ WEIGHED IN AT 148.....
THE WEIGHT CONTRACT WAS MADE ONE A WEDNESDAY TO BE EXACT.

MARQUEZ DIDNT HAVE TO SIGN IT, BUT HE DID, KEY WORD "HE"

Once again me personally I wanna see how marquez fairs at 147 against pac.... It WOULD MAKE A MORE INTERESTING FIGHT AT 140 IMO, BUT IT WOULD BE A DISSERVICE TO PAC AT ANYTHING LESS.
          You dumb or something?

Floyd became P4P number 2 after that win.

Secondly as for the fight, it became a Welter weight fight. Luckily Floyd was able to adjust it because he didn't send them anything, thus Nevada couldn't do shiet to him, but JMM had it in his contract.

I never said Floyd leaned on him and shiet, but Floyd is taller and has a damn long range. So his size plays some role. Him being thin suits his style, a boxer who wants to not be a big target, because he is defensive.

His long arms are a key, which is part of your weight.

As for Marquez weight on fight night, where are your figures? What was Floyd's weight huh?

            I certainly don't.

Sure he was coming off a lay-off, but Marquez is a career-featherweight who was already stretched at LW. And buying his way out of the contract was a b1tch-move by Mayweather, as was marketing that fight as a competitive matchup.

            I didn't really get what you meant about P4P #2 ?

Marquez wasn't #1 was he? I'm sure that Pac was at that stage.

I don't pay a lot of heed to rankings, you could be right.
Firstly for the record, I also agree with a fight at 140. That was for Qaushade or whatever.

Secondly, what I meant was, Floyd became P4P number 2 after the Marquez win. What do you think that was?

I also feel yes he deserved that spot, but in some ways, he was given that spot on his performance VS Marquez.

            • Pac vs JMM after Mosley no matter if Floyd is back or not. Just like Pac vs Margarito right after Clottey no matter if Floyd was around or not.

The fights are planned and pretty much signed well in advance. Bob only uses Floyd's name as an esacpe goat with the media.

Simpletons STILL actually believe Bob has attempted to make a deal with Floyd... even when we all know he has an agenda. Like now, Mosley and JMM next regardless if Floyd is around. Just like I said before, Margarito was signed way ahead of time yet people actually thought Arum was attempting to contact Floyd! Such simple minded people.

As Mosley and soon to be JMM had to do, you must sign your soul to Bob and Top Rank in order to get a fight, but lets blame Floyd because that's the "cool" thing to do....

hey hey hey......... hey..... catch this........ AT LEAST JMM is STILL WINNING!!!!!!! That's a plus right???? It will be the first fighter in how long coming off a significant win?????? HOW SAD......

No that's pretty valid. Other than Cotto at 145, JMM was the last threat/good fight for Pac. Been shyt ever since and most agree. Hoya was shot, Hatton was destroyed, Clottey (who?) was coming off a loss, Margarito (cheater) was destroyed, Mosley (old) was coming off a loss and draw.

Not to mention most of the names above especially the latter part haven't won a significant fight in over 2 years. Pitiful yet people STILL wonder why Pac didn't win the FOTY for 2010?????? Pathetic really....

As I have said many times, other than the Cotto fight, I've been disappointed with Pac since fighting JMM the second time (Bob has a major role in that).

Let alone walking away from Floyd in a boxing ring just to fight Floyd in a court room. Don't get me wrong been disappointed with Floyd too but that's not the topic. Pac gets the "slip" to easily.

Is Pac the congressman not supposed to be setting the standards or what? Setting a horrible example for the younger guys, i.e. Berto??????????

                  • Arum is a mastermind. Everyone knows Marquez will sell more than Berto and whoever else not named Mayweather at 147. Easy work for Pacquiao. Marquez wont last 6 rounds at 147 against Pacquiao.
