    that's 5 divisions in 7 fights.

do the basic arithmetic. how many times could he have fought in each division?
Thanks for proving his point. Manny doesn't stick around to defend titles. He only fights handpicked arum roach specials

Why fight in so many divisions?

yeah and staying in a division means they can't handpick fights?

let me tell you something okay since you probably don't know.

delahoya handpicked pacquiao. not the other way around.

also delahoya-hatton was what was expected in 2009. it was suppose to be in 2008 (the pac-delahoya fight took its place) but hatton wanted a tuneup with malignaggi 1st.

no one expected pac to win. when pac won , they couldn't make delahoya-hatton anymore so hatton fought pac.

          lmfao

7 fights in 3 years , 3 were the top fighters in their division arguably.

jmm was #2 only behind pac at 135. hatton was #1 at 140. cotto was #2 at 147 , though #1 was debatable because cotto beat mosley the #1 for most people.

in 7 fights in 3 years.......

pac fought 3 of the best fighters available in their divisions. jmm , cotto and hatton.

5 of the 7 were top 5 fighters in their division. jmm , diaz , hatton , cotto , clottey.

if that's handpicking , i wish EVERY fighter handpicked their opponents.

              money?

              bigger name opponents?

so now fighting in higher divisions against bigger opponents is a bad thing now?

              shame on pacquiao.

there is no minimum weight for a division btw. there's a maximum weight. another thing you should know.

the catchweight thing you can ***** about. i don't care about that. it's also something not new either though.
Okay, but dont they usually fight teh champs there for the belts??? Just asking, somebody qualified, not a man fresh off suspension fighting once.... if not simply enlighten me, I can take it like a man...I can see floyd as delahoya had the belt, but MANNY FOUGHT A MAN THAT WASNT A CHAMP FOR A VACANT BELT IN A TITLE FIGHT, SEEING MANNY;S OPPOSITION WAS A MAN THAT HAD WON X1 fight, AGAINST A BUM....

NOW IN YOUR EXAMPLES YOU ARE ABOUT TO SHOW ME (AS I WAIT PATIENLY)......PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL THESE CRITERIAS ARE MET... DONT LEAVE ONE OF THEM OUT... AND THEN YOU WILL SEE HOW ABSURD THIS IS, AND FOR GOOD MEASURE, SIMPLY REMEMBER MANNY FOUGHT A MAN THAT WAS SUSPENDED FOR MAYBE CHEATING, COULDNT GET A LICENSE TO FIGHT IN OTHER LOCATIONS, AND HAD ONCE AGAIN ONLY FOUGHT A BUM AS A COME BACK FIGHT @ 154. AND ROBERTO GARCIA IS A BUM......

DONT LIE AND TELL ME YOU KNEW HIM PRIOR TO MARGARITO, WITH HIS X4 WIN STREAK VS OTHER BUMS...
CANT YOU SEE THE RACKET THAT WAS GOING ON???

AND WHEN I SAY MINIMUM WEIGHT, YOU SHOULD KNOW I AM REFERRING TO THe DIVISION... EXAMPLE
JR MIDDLE WEIGHT 154 PAC WASNT EVEN AT THE WEIGHT 144.6??? LOL neither was margarito, because it was a catch weight....

ANTONIO AT 150, AND THIS IS ONCE AGAIN A CATCHWEIGHT, MARGARITO ONLY HAD X1 FIGHT THERE AFTER SHANE DISMANTLED HIM...

THIS IS WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS ITS PATHETIC, I AWAIT YOUR RESPONSE THOUGH GIVING ME WHAT I ASK FOR BROTHER....

So while I may be new to boxingscene I can assure you that I am not new to boxing...

HOW WERE EITHER QUALIFIED FOR A FIGHT IN A DIVISION IN WHICH ONLY X1 HAS FOUGHT IN THAT YEAR AND IT WAS X1 FIGHT???

ILL TELL YA HOW, BY FIXING IT.. ITS SIMPLE, MARGARITO COMES BACK, GETS A BUM TO BEAT, THEN MANNY STEPS UP ASKS FOR A CATCH WEIHGT, BOTH FIGHTERS IN HOUSE, AND SIMPLY FIGHTS FOR A DIVISION HE CANT EVEN MAKE THE WEIGHT FOR AT A CATCHWEIGHT FOR THE TITLE...

SHOW ME YOUR EXAMPLES AND THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT THEM AS WELL.

Keep dreaming. Let me tell you something that you obviously don't know.

De la hoya was a zombie. That's a joke

Hatton was a mess. Floyd stopped him and floyd sr. tried to make him box....another joke

Cotto was dangerous, prior to the cheater margarito destroying him. and at a catchweight.

Clottey lost to cotto and was not the top contender. Then he refused to fight.

Margarito was suspended for cheating and had no standing in the jr. middle. Plus he was crushed by mosley. and a catchweight.

Next up is mosley whose last fight was at 154 and a loss at 147.

on the de la hoya handpicking pac man, your off. There's a reason pac man jumped from 135 to 147. De la hoya had no chance at that weight. Then after hatton lost he was willing to fight him.

I've watched boxing for decades I don't need any lessons. Fighters have cherry picked opponents forever. Most get called on it. For some reason fans like yourself seem to think manny has faced a gauntlet of great champs.

                    damn good posts....

He understands what time it is.....lol

but wants to make excuses and pretend.

He should know that if pac set his ass still in a division he would have mandatories, and usually mandatorys are actually decent (of copurse it depends) but it would be better than cherrypicking which roach admits too, so i dont understand why they cant accept that.!!!!

if you were following boxing when some of those fights happened , you wouldn't think that.

almost everyone thought delahoya was gonna kill pacquiao. i was one of them.

a lot of people thought hatton was gonna be a good challenge even if they thought pacquiao was gonna win.

clottey actually wasn't a bad fight on paper. there was only 4 guys ranked higher than clottey at 147. pac (pac certainly can't fight himself) , mosley (who was at the time signed to fight berto) , cotto (who pac just beat) and mayweather (who they couldn't make a deal with).

clottey was not a bad option tbh. it's not pac's fault clottey fought like a woman.

welcome to the sport btw. we always love having new fans to the sport.
