Very good point! Another one to add to the cannon...

Pacquiao already won that title. He has nothing else to prove at that weight. 147 is where he should fight for the rest of his career and he has to eat like a pig to even fight at that weight.

So again i will ask you this time, do you think its fair for manny to be known as the 154 pound champ when he has never fought in that division??

How does a man not in a division even get a title fight in a division, hes never fought in?
Cotto was in the welterweight division and moved up straight to a title shot. So did Juanma vs Luevano. It happens all the time. Its called moving up in weight. Pac moved to 150 and now he's back at 147. Its a vacant title.

Its not its Vasquez Jr where they give him a shot at a vacant title and move his opponent up 2 weight classes for the title shot. That is gift wrapping a title. Its nothing close to being like that.

If you look at the WBC rankings for junior middleweight (154 lbs), Ryan Rhodes is number 3, behind Saul Alvarez and Alfred Angulo, ranked one and two respectively...

            of course!!!!

of course manny pac is gonna vacate the title he always does!!! manny pac does not defend his tittles cuz that means he would have to fight the #1 ranked contender and manny pac does not fight #1 ranked contenders!!! so he choses to vacate his titles!!!!

Pacquiao is still boxing's greatest boxer ever.

YOU DIDNT EVEN FIGHT AT THE MINIMUM WEIGHT LIMIT OF THAT DIVISION!!! LOL

TAKING THE BELT IS NOTHING AS MANNY WAS NEVER going to defend it anyway....

He has what he wanted.... another fabled championship at a weight limit hes never fought at.

Now while many pacquiao fans will get mad, the truth is you guys know damn well he didnt deserve that title.

This goes for anyone!!! Hell you had people actually at that weight limit in that division and they were overlooked!!!!!! Imagine if you were one of those unlucky few who could have gotten a crack at that title (154 pounders), but then realized the champion of your division has never fought in your division lol!!!!

actually 147 champs getting title shots at 154 in their 1st fight at 154 is nothing new. happens all the time actually. if you've been following boxing closely you'd know this.

there is no minimum weight for a division btw. there's a maximum weight. another thing you should know.

the catchweight thing you can ***** about. i don't care about that. it's also something not new either though.

It's funny that Manny has had a total of 1 fight in 3 of the weight classes he's won a championship.

                    135, 140, 154(150)

that's what happens when you fight in 5 different divisions in 7 fights.

                      130 2008 - marquez
                      135 2008 - diaz
                      147 2008 - delahoya
                      140 2009 - hatton
                      147 2009 - cotto
                      147 2010 - clottey
                      154 2010 - margarito

                      that's 5 divisions in 7 fights.

do the basic arithmetic. how many times could he have fought in each division?
