Two different types of defense. But Locche had a crazy way of defending himself.

Out of how many wins and total fights which you neglected to mention.

i don't know about that. some boxers use offense very effectively as a defense.

what is the criteria? is it how often a boxer gets hit? it is how many punches they make their opponent miss with by using footwork, parrying, upperbody movement, head movement?
thats a good question walt. maybe what im trying to ask is when these fighters avoid/slip punches and how they defend themselves while on the ropes etc.

anyway, locche and floyds offense are not all that so their offense doesnt count in our discussion imo

Notice how you didn't mention 117 wins. Locche by far was a wizard against BETTER competition. PBF is a great defensive fighter but is fighting in a different era. 12 rounds is a different game from 15.

Agree, we are talking bout defense here. Pac's defensive really is his offense and movement.

you're right, neither of these two guys uses offense as d.

i stand by the earlier statement that locche edges floyd, because his d uses less borderline tactics (elbow/pushing off is such a huge part of floyd's d).

locche's d was effective against a higher level of opposition as well, more times (like 100 fights) and hundreds more rounds.

again, it's not trying to diss floyd's d which is currently the best in boxing.

good post. im kinda leaning towards locche cause i think his defense against southpaws are better than floyds. but still floyd is the better overall fighter just so happen that locche has the better D

Locche no doubt, his ability to stand in front of his opponents and make them miss trumps anything Mayweather does.

youre right and this thread has nothing to do with pac at all. i notice that you voted locche
