Locche and for the rather basic reason it looks cooler.

I'm not even saying it's superior technically it can't be.

I used to love it when Naz made guys miss trading of pure reactions it must be so satisfying. Locche could do it all the time. Amazing sense of distance.

I bet Locche could've parked a car in under 2-seconds.

not to mention that Locche practically initiated action. he stood directly in front of you making you miss. Mayweather on the other hand continually backs up and tries to slow down the action. Locche enjoyed sitting there making you miss.
not in any way Mayweather has bad defense, its excellent, one of the best ever...but Locche was something else.

the only people voting for Mayweather probably have never seen Locche fight or have never heard of his competition.

also...I dont know what was up with his face in th Fuji fight either, but he had that on his face before the fight started. it wasnt cuts caused by getting hit.
Won every round against an ATG in a 15 rounds fight. I agree he had better defense but I disagree with the way you describe Mayweather a lot of his fights have been primarily fought in the pocket.

please, dont respond with the generic 'show a Mayweather on the offense' highlight. Yes, he does fight going forward sometimes. but he used his feet far more than Locche did.

            Simply not true...........

Thankyou....this is what i was alluding to....Mayweather can make you miss inside, outside, on the move or standing still. Both fighters are incredible with their defense. Hard to choose who is better, but gun to head i would say Floyd simply because they both know how to defend in terms of skill and intelligence, BUT Floyd has the faster hands feet and reflexes....so him being better is purely on physical attributes.

locche also uses less borderline tactics than fmj, fmj is forever using the elbow to push off and create space, locche used more upperbody movement and footwork.

and we're nitpicking here. floyd is a defensive genius, locche is a defensive wizard.

oh believe me i agree......no opponent can "run" from you if you know how to cut off the ring.

can offense not be accounted for when considering defense?

i don't know about that. some boxers use offense very effectively as a defense.

what is the criteria? is it how often a boxer gets hit? it is how many punches they make their opponent miss with by using footwork, parrying, upperbody movement, head movement?
