Where are you getting this from? A fight goes to the scorecards after four rounds if the cut is caused by an unintentional headbutt. If it's caused by a legal punch, as was the case in the Lewis Klitschko fight, then the fighter who caused the cut is automatically awarded a TKO if the other fighter can't continue, at any stage in the fight.
Funny how Lewis fans justify.........

Exactly. I was waiting to see what his explanation would be for the fight going to the scorecards after 1 more round....Where are you getting this from? Anyone thats says either fighter dominated that night is biased. The fight was a war and both guys where tested more then they had been in years. It was probably 4 rounds to 2 with Lewis seeming to gain his second wind and coming on strong when it was stopped.his victory over Vitali Klitschko by saying he was fat..out of shape & ageing. Little do know that by stating Lennox was out of shape & unmotivated.....you're actually saying he got beat without actually saying it..why give & make excuses for him if you think he won fair & square. The excuse of overweight & out of his prime is always given when a fighter got his handed to him not when he got the W..... No need for a response as you've all been exposed & always did know who the best man that night in the ring was..., all the W'S in the world will never change the fact Klitschko dominated that fight & made Lewis look old..fat & out of shape......
Carry On......
If the fight would have continued I think Lewis probably takes the lead and eventually Ko's Vitali. Lewis took his bets shots and never went down. Viatli was tiring and bloodied.
Sounds like sour g****s from a Klitschko fan. Vitali was stopped by a Hall of fame HW no shame in that. accept the loss.Comment

Yes, that's more or less exactly as I saw the fight. I'm a fan of both fighters which is why threads like this always get my goat up. It always seems to devolve into a simplistic black and white argument whereby either "Vitali dominated that fight from start to finish you pathetic racist loser" or "Lewis was old and out of shape and still KTFO Vitali." Vitali didn't dominate and Lennox wasn't out of shape, both guys fought their heart out, both guys were hurt at various stages in the fight, and both guys did themselves proud in victory and defeat. Why can't people just be happy with that and instead try to spin things to suit their agendum?Anyone thats says either fighter dominated that night is biased. Yeah, I do think Lewis was a little out of shape/under trained. I mean he was planning on fighting a shorter, fat Kirk Johnson and instead got a hungry up and comer who was bigger then himself.Yes, that's more or less exactly as I saw the fight. Vitali got cut by a punch and tried to get Lewis out of there before the fight got stopped. Didn't happen. Lewis owned most of the 5th and all of the 6th. Lewis did what he had to do in there. When Vitali was on the canvas did Lewis just stand back? No, he extended his arm and helped him up.
This was a great fight by two great champs. Leave it alone already.Comment

He may have been a little out of shape, but the way some people portray it it was almost as if it were Gabe Brown in there. At any rate, Lewis's undertraining was compensated by Vitali's then inexperience of big fights against A class opposition. I don't see it as a big factor in the fight.Comment
