yeah only an idiot might use the CW= weight drained excuse
but if the catchweight made no difference .. why would Team Pac use them?

pac beat marquez fair. It was a close fight but he got the kd. The fight was a classic. All due respect to hernandez, castillo and corrales but they are no where near the level of mab, mar, mor. Your the one being biased son.
As for Barerra, how soon people forget. Yeah, Barerra was P4P at the time. But let's not act like he was some unbeatable force. As I remember, Junior Jones kicked his ass a lot worse than Pac did, twice. And he did it long before Pac. Just because Barerra beat up an overrated Hamed and had a couple classic fights with Morales doesn't erase that. HOF'r, absolutely. More dangerous than a "Chico" Corrales who was killing everyone, I think not.
As for JMM, I made my arguement on that one already. I don't think you'll find a single person that watched both those fights that came away feing Pac was the superior fighter. But I think we can agree that everyone who watched Mayweather-Marquez came away knowing that JMM didn't belong in the same boxing ring as Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr., SON.

I also have no interest in seeing the so-called P4P King fight a guy that was very fortunate to get a draw with Sergio friggin Mora. I'm not one of these people that expects a superfight every time out. I mean, I know the history of boxing. And regardless of what ESPN Classic tells you, Ali didn't fight Foreman and Frazier every time out. Everyone is entitled to a gimmie here and there. Problem I'm having with Pac is that his entire 2010 was gimmies. And now, he's continuing with his gimmies into 2011. At what point is the so-called P4P King gonna step up and fight a real P4P elite?
But it boils down to narrative. Marquez has the history and Berto is undefeated...however, can people honestly say that they have a much better chance then this faded version of Mosley? Bottom line is that those guys and even Bradley/Alexander have almost no chance. The Mosley fight will look bad because Pac will beat the hell out of a fan favorite fighter, but since Shane wants the paycheck let him have it.
In two years time Pac will have fought Marquez III and Berto, he has already cleared up the rest of the division.

In fact those that are against a catchweight in this fight cant even explain why a catchweight is a bad thing.

Clottey was bigger,..he had no belt ....Margarito was bigger and he had no belt. Whats the point of fighting guys just cuz they are bigger. Its apparent that BIGGER guys vs Manny is easy for Manny as they are slower and not as skilled. They have no defense and pathetic footwork.
And why not fight the "BIGGER" Martinez? or is that too big?

After junior jones barrera became a more complete fighter and was on his best winning streak before he met pac. Lets be real p4p barrera ****s all over corrales. You are one of those *****s that thinks a loss equates to being past prime. Absolute nonsense.
How can you compare the marquez that fought pac and the one that fought maywaether. Thats a sign of ***** thinking right there. pac got a win versus a hof fighter in his prime and in his weight class. Floyd has not fought fighters of the calibre of those 3 and in their natural weight class. now lets be real here.Last edited by fcastro1; 12-21-2010, 03:07 PM.
