Like I said, it's not a great fight. But lets not exaggerate, Clottey and Margarito were not gimmies, in so much that they were two of most dangerous opponents that Pac could have fought at WW (with Mosley and Mayweather being the other two). Pac beat them in such one sided fights that it has completely negated the 'they are too big for him' factor, so that's why the Mosley fight isn't great because even his superior punching power won't make any difference.

Becasue he has so much trouble getting anywehere near 147 despite eating enough calories to make a horse throw up. It's pretty well documented that pac struggles to get anywhere near that weight.

The Cottey deal was done before the Cotto fight began, much like the Margarito deal was done before the Clottey fight began, much like the Mosley deal was done before the Margarito fight began. Notice a pattern???

Its not who he fights, its when he fights them. And this is actually the arhuement I make with people who say Pac's resume uis better than Mayweather's. Mayweather fights guys on the way up, Pac fights them on the way down. But, that's not the converstaion we're having. Pac fought Clottey coming off a loss to Cotto, who Pac had just KO'd. Margarito was comign off the devastating KO loss to Mosley. Clottey is irrelevant because he hasn't had a single meaningful win in his career. As for Margarito. If Pac would have fought Margarito coming off his win over Cotto. Yeah, he gets full props. But waiting until he's coming off a KO loss takes a lot of the luster off od his performance.

Are you honestly saying that the 2011 version of Mosley is any different then the 2010 version that Mayweather fought?

Mayweather gets more credit since Mosley was coming off the Margarito win (even if it was over a year since that happened), but he is the same guy. It's not like Mayweather ruined him, same dude that fought Floyd, fought Mora and will fight Pac.

The other points are not worth discussing, you can believe what you want to believe about his opponents.

So by that logic, Mosley wasn't washed up and shot when Mayweather beat him, which is contrary to what riders think.

i dont know where to start with this mess. morales put up the best performance of his life against pac. A fighter that can fight that good is no where near past prime, and he proved it in the secon fight where half way he was still in it.

I understand your POV. But, your way of thinking devalues the most important thing that happens in a boxing match, and that's the result. In a boxing match, there's a winner and a loser. And in an era where the top fighters are only fighting twice a year, I don't want to see them fighting guys coming off loses. If Pac was fighting 4 or 5 times a year, cool. But he's only fighting twice and he spent all of 2010 fighting guys in the loser's bracket and starting off 2011 the same way. When is the P4P King gonna step into the winner's bracket?

Pathetic response.....why fight bigger fighters if THEY cant be at a weight they are comfy at? SIZE doesnt mean **** if the guys you are fighting has boxing skills far below yours. How can you fight for a 154lb title when your a smaller fighter but you make the BIGGER fighter weigh the same as you? Advantage who?

Exactly. Most great boxers can amass strings of knockouts at lighter weight classes, but as they move up, they box their way to victories because they can't dominate with the power that they had at lighter weights.

To answer your question, not a soul on here would give Mayweather credit if he did something like that, point blank. 'Pistol Whip' would be amongst the first to question it.
