In fact those that are against a catchweight in this fight cant even explain why a catchweight is a bad thing.

Pacquiao got plenty of heat for fighting Margarito at 150.

well Pacquiao could always just fight the guy at his best ... instead of forcing the fight to be at a catchweight

People have lost their mind, it's really hard to believe sometimes. So much hate for the most accomplished and exciting fighter of our generation. I'm so sick of them vs us, well guess what I like to watch both he and Floyd and it was less then a year ago when Shane was involved in the most anticipated fight of 2010.

Now he didn't look great the past two fights and this is not a great fight, but not because of the catchweights. However, it's also not the end of the world and Mosley stands as much chance to win as Marquez and Berto. The Marquez fight had the nice story line and Berto has the unknown factor (maybe, but not really) but they don't have any better chance then Mosley.

The big negative out of this will be Shane getting more brain damaged.

Also, anyone giving any validity to any sanctioning belt needs to be shamed out of the sport. The athletes do it because it makes them more money, but fans need to stand up and give zero recognition to all the belts outside the linear and or ring titles.

What advantage is he getting? Both fighters have no problem making 147, in fact Shane has always preferd that weight over 154. The only reason they are doing is this is to hold on to their paper belt which is worthless anyway. It's part of the nonsense that comes with boxing but it won't affect the fight in any way.

You are missing the point! Mosley shouldn't even be in the picture as an appoanant for Pac AT WW or even JMW. People are disappointed because Pac has possibly selected to fight a 40 year old Mosley who hasnt won a fight in 2 years, he's lost a fight to Floyd, he's no title holder, he's no champion, he's irrelvent AT WW and JMW now. Mosey is the fighter of 5 years ago.

it's ok because it adds up to his legacy if he fights and beat bigger guys...but if has to ask for catchweight he's opening himself up for criticisms. like what happened after the margarito fight, he said he's done fighting beyond 147 so why fight shane at 148 for a 154 title? i'm a pacfan but his bad decisions are just feeding up the trolls known as *****s.
