I don't think Shane gave up. That fight played out the way I always thought it was going to. Shane has 3 rounds before he gasses out, that coupled with the fact that he's always had problems with boxers who show him movement.

Let's hope they don't rush to get it signed (I'm almost certain they will fight Shane) and see what happens with Mayweather's legal situation. And, if the cost if clear, make that fight so these fights we are discussing won't even happen.
Truthfully, All three of those fights are terrible (Berto, Mosley and Marquez) and I wish Bradley or Alexander does something spectacular in their fight to make them a wild card for a May 7th fight.

By the time he was ready to re-focus, Shane and Floyd were a done deal. I doubt that he could've asked for HBO to push the date back as the late January date is a marquee date, HBO lost money by that fight not happening on THAT date. I am sure that HBO and Team Mosley were indeed sympathetic to Berto and his needs, but business is business.

Besides the Quintana fight was not a bad choice. Alot of people thought that Carlos would outbox Andre. Not very many saw that fight ending in TKO.
            Well maybe I'm wrong.

I just don't see why he couldn't push the fight back as the money that was lost on Jan 29th was gonna be lost regardless of Andre's choice.

It just doesn't make any sense that a few weeks later he signed to fight Quintana....and fight that took place around the same time of Mayweather vs Mosley.

Maybe I'm being a **** or sounding like an @sshole....but can you blame me for raising an eyebrow at the way Andre handled that?

Berto is a young fresh opponent with boxing skills, speed and power that could present something different for Manny and not he same come forward style he has been facing.
I think Mosley cashed out with the Mayweather fight. I also think that his ex-wife Jin did also. There are a lot of young fresh faces out there, let Berto fight a few of them, or some gate keepers and then earn his shot. Fighting Hernandez ain't gonna do it.

shane gave up. no professional boxer gasses out after 3 rounds consistently.

he couldn't even follow up when he had floyd stunned and got outfought in that round, AND GAVE UP,

and this is coming from a guy who picked shane and started war shane threads before the fight in here. i wanted shane to win BAD, but I'm also not blind. i lost some respect for shane that night, he DID NOT go out like the warrior I thought he still was, stop making excuses for him. you knew shane was going to gas out after 3 rounds? like he did in the margs and cotto fights? is that how you knew?

Of course Berto is a better or harder opponent for Pac, Why did you think they didnt go for him? But i still dont think he made enough noise about wanting to fight Pac, I thought he wasnt interested in the fight from what i have seen in the last few months.

Shane DIDN'T give up, he didn't ask, beg, and demand a fight with FLoyd to just give up. A season VET like Mosley doesn't give up. My SIG explains EXACTLY what happened and what he was doing...

I'm not saying he should be fighting pac either, especially at 40 years old, not winning a fight in 2 years and coming off a draw AT JMW vs (a bad style matchup) Mora. I'm saying that Mosley was caught thinking vs Floyd and not fighting. Floyd had him confused and looking for something that would never come again.
