His best win was against a faded Zab Judah.

Clottey was chose because there was no top WW available. Not only that but Manny wanted to get a fight in before he ran for congress so with that small of a window, Clottey was the only option available.

funny how alot of the people saying that Berto hasnt done enough to "earn" a shot at Pacquiao are the exact same people who are saying that Martinez should fight Pirog.

What do you mean he isn't going to come at Shane. He will fight the style that Shane has had his greatest success against, guys who stand if front of him and try to out fight him.

I never said he was a masterboxer. You read anything I posted? I said he "can box". Berto isn't this slugger that just stands there and trades. Again, he would box Shane and pick his shots.

You act as if Berto is going be sticking and moving and using a ton of footwork. Again If Mosley was able to catch the best defensive fighter in the sport twice and almost knock him the **** out, what makes you think he wouldn't catch Berto. Floyd has a solid chin, and survived because he is very savvy as fighter. Berto doesn't have either luxury.

Yes, and he caught Floyd because Floyd stood right in front of him with his guard open. And, I agree, Floyd is cut from a whole different cloth than Berto is. The point I'm again trying to drive home is that I SEE Berto boxing Shane Mosley and not standing and trading.

As for your claim that Berto can crack and will light Shane up. He does have power but Shane has faced bigger punchers than Andre and has never been in serious danger, outside of Forrest, and even that's debatable.

A faded Zab? Zab has been "mentally" faded throughout his career. He was on ***** street versus Baldomir and looked decent against May for the first 4 rounds. Berto wants to cash in his lottery ticket, that is all this is about. Why should he get that chance now? PWill has taken more dangerous fights early in his career and didn't get to cash his ticket and may never get to. So why should Berto when he hasn't put in any work?
