he couldn't even follow up when he had floyd stunned and got outfought in that round, AND GAVE UP,
and this is coming from a guy who picked shane and started war shane threads before the fight in here. i wanted shane to win BAD, but I'm also not blind. i lost some respect for shane that night, he DID NOT go out like the warrior I thought he still was, stop making excuses for him. you knew shane was going to gas out after 3 rounds? like he did in the margs and cotto fights? is that how you knew?

Noise? You see I love shyt talking but there's a line that when you're #2 in a division and the #1 guy is "on vacation", should be MORE than enough noise to make people want the best fighting the best. AT 147, Berto IS the man to beat while FLoyd's fighting in court which ironically is where Pac wanted to fight him in the first place.
Berto made noise, just NOT in the Mayweather style of things. Hell Clottey didn't do shyt. What did Margarito do?
Berto IS the man to beat AT 147. Hell I don't even think he beats Pac. I haven't really thought about it because I knew it wouldn't happen. Berto is NOW where Mosley was when Pac "ducked" him. Its a fact that if a fighter looks "too good", they don't take the fight. If he's a TOP RANK fighter and "too good" the motto is, lets drain'em coach.......
Berto = #2 WW, undefeated, arguably in his prime, fast, strong, coming off a KO victory. What more does a TOP fighter have to do to get a fight with Pac?
At the end of the day I want to see Pac fight the best out there, right now Mayweather is "gone", Berto is the man. Why is this so hard for people to see? Are they THAT freaked out that Pac may loose?
People are holding too low of standards for Pac......Last edited by WESS; 12-16-2010, 11:39 AM.

I'm not saying he should be fighting pac either, especially at 40 years old, not winning a fight in 2 years and coming off a draw AT JMW vs (a bad style matchup) Mora. I'm saying that Mosley was caught thinking vs Floyd and not fighting. Floyd had him confused and looking for something that would never come again.
Floyd made subtle adjustments taht completely shut down Shane.
Why do people assume that every fighter mysteriously 'stops trying" or 'gasses out" after the 4th round in every Mayweather fight?
There is a reason why you hear all these stories of guys kicking Mayweather's ass in sparring...but somehow it never happens in a fight. Because you spar someone for a couple of rounds...but you fight them for 12.
Floyd always - REPEAT ALWAYS - makes the adjustments that shuts down his opponents. He is a brilliant ring tactician. What he is doing may not be visible to you on your 32 inch LCD TV. But please believe that his opponent in the 20 foot ring sees it. Yet can't do anything about it.
There is a reason why every former opponent picks Floyd to win his future fights...because the guy is effin' GOOD. They realize it after they get in there with him. He leaves you no openings. He leaves you baffled. Juan manuel Marquez landed 12% of his punches. We're not talking some scrub.. we're talking JMM. And don't tell me about the weight difference. Because Floyd didn't muscle or bully him. He stood in front of JMM and made him miss and then countered.
Floyd stood in front of Shaker Shane and was daring him to throw the jab. Slip, ****!!

Well maybe I'm wrong.
I just don't see why he couldn't push the fight back as the money that was lost on Jan 29th was gonna be lost regardless of Andre's choice.
It just doesn't make any sense that a few weeks later he signed to fight Quintana....and fight that took place around the same time of Mayweather vs Mosley.
Maybe I'm being a **** or sounding like an @sshole....but can you blame me for raising an eyebrow at the way Andre handled that?
