i never seen cortez as a bad ref tbh, it seems to me that he just follows the rules really well, while other refs may allow punching with one arm while the other is clinched, crtez doesn't for the simple fact that clinching, is illegal

i know there are plenty of people pissed off at his officiating, but i bet the only reason he's still used in high profile matches is and not gone back to obscurity is because he throws the rulebook at you

or he just takes orders real well.

Kenny Bayless is the ref I'm thinking of, he was the ref for Pacquiao/Cotto and many other big fights. Smoger and Bayless are the best refs in our sport, they feel like legit refs who won't take bribes.

You're talkin bout Kenny Bayless. He's a damn good ref He and Steve Smoger are my favorites. I sure do miss Mills though he was a ATG ref. I dont care for Cortez, and this HOF **** is gonna make him even worse.
