If someone turns their back and gets hit fair enough but the ref cannot let the action continue, so he stops it and restarts; It can warrant a warning or point deduction if it keeps occurring, but it didn't.
still, it was khan who turned his head from maidana. he shouldnt be protected because he turns his back.
Amir really should not have done the Dirrell turn your back move. It looked to me that after Maidana hit him on the back of the head he then tried to spin him to face him when Cortez stepped in. Maidana should not have hit him on the back of the head but Amir had no business turning his back on him the way he did.
No Ref would leave a fighter take hayemakers to the back of the head, and rightly so
Maidana just needed to finish better, and Khan would've been down.
Unless he was going to allow Maidana to wind-up a hayemaker at the back of Khan's noggin.
in fact if u look at the pic, its obvious that maidana eas trying to hit the side of his face, n not his head. he may have glanced his head, but it wasnt at all like he was aiming to rabbit punch, khan turned his back and held maidana's arm.
but whatever, ill just say khan was fortunate to survive that onslaught.
