There are no ideal opponents for his situation considering the difficulties with mayweather. Mayweather really is the only suitable opponent for him at this particular moment. A Berto/Mosley showdown could potentially produce an opponnet. However JMM would still probably give Pacquiao more trouble.

Berto doesn't have to raise his profile anymore than Clottey did. That's a terrible excuse. People are going to pay to watch Pacquiao fight regardless of who he fights. It's ridiculous to suggest that somehow Berto has to become world famous to get the fight. The facts are that he is a better opponent than Mosley. He's younger, fresher, and is a live opponent right now. Martinez is a better opponent and so is Marquez at this point. The Mayweather fight is not happening anytime soon. So go to plan B. Mosley is a terrible choice and if Pacquiao fights him he deserves every bit of criticism for fighting the 3rd straight fight with an opponent coming off either a loss or poor performance.

They don't get a lot of things. But they aren't boxing fans, anyway. Not from what I can see.

Co-sign. It's sad that some people on here don't get it.

same one Martinez vacated because he couldn't get Manny or Floyd to fight at 154.

Thanks. Look at all those disgusting comments, those guys are P4P the most irritating fans in sports general.

And Margarito wasn't too big? Talk about an agenda.

I'm not sure I follow your logic. If Pacquiao had made Margarito come down to 147 (where he has done the bulk of his work) would the win have been more significant? If so, why? Unless, of course, you're giving undue credence to the alphabet strap that was on the line. I don't recognise his 147 or 135 straps either - who cares about the belts? Quality of opposition and manner of victory is all that matters.

Hence Martinez saying: I would KO Pacquiao, total destruction.

                  Sechbach: How about Mayweather?

                  Martinez: Errm..umm. Probably a decision.
or, I'm just sayin, he means floyd will run away as soon as he feels his power, and it'll be hard to catch him....we can turn words all day, you go next.

Antonio Margarito wouldn't have been a good matchup even if Manny fought him at 154 with no catchweight. He hadn't won a significant fight in decades, was last seen coddling with ringsiders the last time he fought an elite fighter and looked like **** against a journeyman in his so-called "tuneup." But I guess his past glory made it ok. Like I said, Manny should fight Terry Norris next. His dumbass fans would buy it anyway.
