Sergio is the fighter of the year and got the knockout of the year.

Floyd fought once against a shot Mosley, and the catchweight king did his usual job on spoon fed fighters.

Sergio has been the most impressive... Floyd hasn't done anything significant for about 3/4 years now.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed both Pacs and Mays fights, even won alot of money on May but non of them were much of a challenge in terms of fighters they should be fighting like Martinez does.

P4P number 1 already? Pac's performance this year was way better than Martinez dawg. look what Pac did to Margarito and Clottey who were both naturally bigger and outweighed him by 15 lbs or so. let see Martinez fighting a super middleweight decent fighters while outhweighing him by 15 lbs. thats how impressive Manny's win over Marg.

8 weight division title is the definition of P4P. its how good a boxer would look like in many weight divisions. and that is what Manny has been doing thru out his career. GTFO haters! Sergio number 1 P4P. F@cking ******! and u call urselves boxing fans?

But, then every time a fighter wins FOTY he should be P4P?

Again I am not going to argue over who is #1 P4P... If somebody has Martinez there then fine, I personally have Pac #1. I am not going to ignore his run in 08 and 09. He took this year off true but 08 and 09 was pretty damn good. If 2011 is like this year for Pac, then OK... But, again P4P is just a mythical opinion, I personally won't argue if somebody has Martinez #1.

I think it is a 3 man race between Martinez, Floyd, and Pac.

Bigger isn't better. Antonio Margarito isn't Paul Williams. Heck, even in his prime at his prime weight, Margarito wasn't better than Williams.

LOL I know right? Your other post was spot on, I started following him after the Bunema fight and I found some of his old fights and when I watched them I was blown away with how gifted this guy was. I have watched every fight that has been televised and he is not only fast and agile, he is so versatile and adaptable in the ring. A very smart boxer who has the character of a champion, when you look up champion in an encyclopedia, they should have his picture next to it.

He and Bradley are my two favorite boxers, they are both excellent boxers but their characters are exemplary and they are assets to the sport and provide nothing but good things for the fans. Pac is on my list too but he has already achieved stardom and recognition, it's time for these other pilars of the sport to get theirs.

so you would put Martinez over Manny because he beat Paul Williams? but you wouldnt put Williams over Manny in a P4P when PW beat Martinez in their first fight?

A lot's happened in a year. Let's face it, Manny did squat this year. Martinez moved up and dethroned the MW king and then just flattened another pound for pounder. Early. Martinez was already a pound for pounder, BTW. It's not like he leaped out of nowhere. Anyway, I don't really care who you rate #1. Pacquiao has as much claim although he's done **** all since 09. But if someone asks me right now, who is the best fighter in the game, I gotta to with Sexy.
