I been a fan of Martinez since 06 when Oscar told the WBC not to force the mandatory and WBC dropped Martinez as the #1 contender.
Ever since then I been following and a fan of Martinez. I knew Vernon(RIP) was going to avoid him just cuz he didn't like to fight southpaws, Then when he finally got a shot against Bunema I was happy for him and knew he was on his way.
I am happy that he is getting the recognition he deserves. I just don't like what you're doing as a fan and all these bandwaggoners hoping on and saying ******ed stuff.
I felt bad for P-Will cuz I like P-Will. That is why I refused to pick a winner, I root for both. But, Martinez looked great, he deserves.
I think he did something great last night and also fucked up the rest of his career last night. He just looked too good.
Pac will not fight him, so that is not even an option. I don't think Floyd is going to fight him, I know Floyd fans think it is a possibility but I don't think so especially after last night. Bute is with Showtime now so that is not a possibility. Sturm is not going to come out of Germany. Cotto will probably fight JCC Jr, Maybe Margarito? Maybe? I don't know though.
But, anyways I still got Pac #1 P4P, he took this year off, hopefully he doesn't take next year off but why is anybody trying to diminish his 08 and 09 run is ridiculous. But, Martinez after last night is right up there where he has a case. Is a 3 man race now between Pac, Floyd and Martinez.Comment

Sergio Martinez should be P4P #1 because he KO Paul Williams and he beat a shot Pavlik?
Paul Williams is more overrated than Ricky Hatton and his skills are non existent. Dude was lucky to win the first fight and he never should have got the W against Kermit the frog.

people now think Martinez is ATG after destroying Paul Williams in 2 rounds. Placing him above Manny and Floyd is plain ******. maybe Paul Williams was not really THAT good? i put him as my number 1 because of the clinic he put on pavlik and kinda saving the middle weight division from pavliks reign of beating toprank bums. the rematched with williams, who i think cotto can beat at 154 for his belt i made a thread about it yesterday and called an idiot more or less but i now more than ever feel that cotto beats pun finisher. anyways maravilla bloodies up pavlik, frees up the middle weight division, then rematches williams who isnt bad but think his whole gimmick is size and he doesnt utilize it very well. anyways he definitely has the ko of the year and beats a p4per. compare what he has done this year to what pac has done. he beat clottey who yeah was ranked but we all know he chokes at the elite level, then he beats mosleys left overs in margarito. honestly compare both performances. sergio did it better. im not defending floyd because he is number 3 now in my book and pac by way of activity is number 2. sergio is my number 1.Comment
