Ward is not as strong as Bika and not as dirty. Hopkins has a much better defence, better accuracy, timing and ring generalship. Ward is faster, so what? I don't remember speed ever giving Joe a problem, he just had trouble hitting Hopkins because of his really tight defence.

Ward isn't being hit much since stepping up his opposition, is very accurate, has great timing, excellent control of range and is noted as one of the finest ring-generals currently in the game. And he's still developing.
