I know alot of people dislike him, Hell I notice alot of people on here (Especially Pacfans) hate the man.

But do you respect him?
Do you respect his talent his work ethic and what he has done for the sport?
I understand how some people may not like him outside the ring due to his attitude and his money obsession,
His sheer Stubbornness is what annoys me.

But I don't understand how any BOXING FAN can really distinguish him inside the ring,
How any BOXING FAN can not respect this mans skill is mind blowing.

Basically a Question to the Haters, You may not like Floyd but do you RESPECT him?

I respect his skills and hustle (business moves etc) but I dont respect him as a person and how he has handled his career legacy wise. I think the mistake most people make is the inability/refusal to seperate the two.

E.g. Just because I have certain dislikes for him....doesn't mean I let that cloud by view on him as a fighter and his accomplishments. I put that to the side and try to judge him as unbiasedly as I can.

I feel he is top 30-40 but could have been top 10. I feel he one of the 3 greatest defensive fighters of all time, and has many gifts that make him one of the greatest fighters of all time.

On the flip side, he has failed on several occassions to enhance his legacy, been on too much bull**** and is very disrespectful the to sport of boxing and legends on the game.

That's most how I view him in a nutshell....

ali has never been disrespectful to boxing fans...he disrespected some of his opponents but he's always been likable to boxing fans. and he gave the sport of boxing and boxing fans more than they expected of him.
