Tony beat the puto fair and square. All of the Rican cry babies are still butt hurt that their idol took more knees than a crack ho on a Friday night in Compton. Don't worry Ricans, the Pinoys are next.

did u notice how much force the little punches tony landed seemed to have? cotto has been up against some big guys but that was just unreal...

its one of the reasons panda believes tony probably used plaster that night
same thing i said.he got hit in round 2 on started moving all over the place.he took big shots in plenty fights and still came forward and rito who isnt known as a puncher some how makes cotto get on his bike in rnd 2

Round after Round he landed nothing strong?? then how did he break Cottos nose in the 2nd round making it hard for cotto to breath properly

It was a classic display how NOT to fight a pressure fighter like Margarito.. he was landing helacious shots on Margs but he kept coming and bit by bit hit cotto more and more every round.

More than likely he might of had his gloves loaded.. Even Margs doesn't know.. (supposedly)..

But at the same time.. Cotto did not Clinch.. He did not Block and he gassed out.. He caved into the pressure.. Cotto is my favorite fighter but dont be blinded by the fact that he did nothing to save himself.. He kept letting Cheato throw some bomb uppercuts and broke him down systematically.. I hate Margs as much as the next rican but lets be truthful about the situation...

Id say that cotto dominated the first 4 rounds, landing the bigger shots and uusing the ring better.
Margarito requires his oppoennets to be static for him to connect with them, this is where cotto let the figth get away, he was too static mid-late rounds.
Cotto is a really good fighter, but unlike his country man Tito,or Pacman or Floyd or Margarito himself, his stamina is horrid!!I can almost guarantee that if Cotto had better stamina,he'd be undefeated to this day!!His skills are world class, but he is a 6 round fighter, that's his biggest flaw!!

If Cotto could clinch well at all i believe he would have won this fight on points, that exact fight, plaster or not. Instead he lays on the ropes doing that dumb thing when he covers his face with his right glove and turns his face away and kind of blocks all of his vision, never understood why he does that. He seems to do this when hes trying to soley defend, but mainly vs Manny and Margs who are constantly pressuring. It broke my heart to see Cotto pretty much die in the ring against Margarito.

I wouldn't go that far but i agree he fades downs the stretch a little.

well pand did see cotto started circling since round 1, not 2 like u mentioned

tony actually was considered a puncher back then...the only one who disagreed was emanuel steward, but he doesnt think pavlik's a puncher either

we agree on the rest though
