Judging by todays standards Floyd's win over Baldomir is totally legit.

How does the legitimacy of the fight have anything to do with the accomplishment of beating Margarito?I am a little confused by this,U see Travis 1st U agreed Margarito doesn't deserve this fight, right??But then U turn around & say that if Pacman beats Margarito at a catchweight for a vacant title,it's more credible than Floyd beating the welterweight champion Baldomir who earned his title by upsetting Judah, how is that??
Sure Margarito doesn't really deserve to get a title shot this early, doesn't mean it's not going to be a tough fight.Comment

ok bro, what advantages does mag have against pac??? and dont tell me he's bigger. they said the same thing about pacs last few opponents as well. margs has zero advantage against pac. ppl are still betting this fight will be close. it will be a massacre. margs dont have the tools nor the freshness to beat this pac. ur talking about margs as if he is still sumhow relevant when he really isnt.Comment

The baldomir and Floyd fight was one sided. I dont see how that's controversial? Mayweathers speed and accuracy of his punches were too much for baldomir.Comment

Good to see you've had an epiphany of sorts bushbaby
Now if a few more people would wake up and smell the coffee this site would improve.
Floyd was criticised for fighting Zab instead of Baldomir. The Zab deal was pretty much already done before Zab lost to Tata.
There was just as much noise for Floyd to fight Tata as their was for him to fight Margarito. I don't think he had any desire to fight Margarito and honestly he didn't really want Baldomir IMO either. He was ofered $8,000,000 from Bob Arum for Margarito. They asked Shaw to beat it for Baldomir....he offered $8,000,001. It was a no brainer. Fight the #1 ranked guy for the WBC or make Bob Arum money (they had recently split) by fighting Margarito???Comment
