Judging by todays standards Floyd's win over Baldomir is totally legit.

titles don't mean you have credibility. everyone knew baldomir was a journeyman bum. as for the pac vs margarito fight being for a title that is a complete joke but as i said titles don't mean anything. you shouldn't pay attention to any of that abc belt nonsense cause every fight could be for one of their flimsy belts. they are trash.

pac vs margarito isn't the best fight but it's a fight between 2 good fighters. floyd vs baldomir was a fight between 1 good fighter and a bum who happened to have some titles. would you be happy if pac fought k9 bundrage for a title belt? margarito is a much better fighter than that guy so that just proves how little belts mean.

the only thing that pisses me off about pac vs. margarito is that its for the 154 belt...

and you can blame the corrupt sanctioning bodies for that.

baldomir and mayweather was a legit fight.. baldomir was the lineal champ ffs. i agree with you on that.

but it doesn't take away the fact that baldomir sucks balls.

Of course it was legit. Judah was set to fight Floyd and whatever you think of Judah now..he was highly regarded then and was on many P4P lists after the Spinks fight. Baldomir beat Judah to become the LINEAL CHAMP and then destroyed an HBO Superstar in his next fight.

there was no way baldomir could ever beat any legit contenders so hbo had to find baldomir a beatable opponent so they could make a mayweather-baldomir "superfight" a completely shot gatti was the perfect fit.

If title belts don't matter, does pfp matter??Titles should matter more than the mythical pfp name!!Is Margarito the best fighter at 154,is he even close??Why couldn't the pfp king & fighter of the the decade not fight a 154 pound elite??If title don't mean anything, that fight shouldn't be for a title!!When I think of 154,Margarito does not come to mind!!

is cornelius bundrage an elite 154 pounder? no he's not and he has a belt. some good fighters have belts and some bad fighters have belts. they are so useless and should be abolished in my opinion. it's utter nonsense.

which "elite" fighters at 154 would you like pac to face? sergio martinez or paul williams are the only ones but they are fighting each other. cotto he already beat. bundrage and cintron are laughable.

if you care so much about belts margarito should have won a belt a while ago when he was robbed against daniel santos in puerto rico.

Were Cotto, Pac and especially WILLIAMS even in the picture when Floyd fought Baldomir at 147???......i'm pretty sure they were ****ing not.....why don't you just carelessly throw some other names into the mix while you're on your soapbox.......

i guess it's not about the money after all. for the baldomir fight it was about the belts......but wait belts only collect dust.......according to floyd. this guy should make up his mind.

you must have missed the part were i said he didn't want to fight Margarito in that post.

for the bold.........he started saying that recently...not then. Belts did matter to him, but only one belt. Belts not mattering to him are a new revelation and that epiphany from him is well after the fact.

Additionally another reason not to fight Margarito over Baldomir is that the risk in losing jeopardised a payday with Oscar. Floyd wanted to go str8 from Judah to Oscar. He didn't want to fight either of Baldomir or Margarito.
